Women like Angela were real trailblazers in the metal scene. She showed that women in metal weren't a novelty and they could hang with the best of them. Especially at a time when dudes were pretty awful towards them and whatnot.
Nowadays, there are a lot more women in the metal scene leading bands and doing a kickass job of it, I'm just glad that the work Angela and others have put in created this amazing legacy.
Seriously, in a time well before the Me Too movement, she went into a very misogynistic and elitist community, kicked down the doors and told us all that she belonged here and there was nothing that anyone was going to do about it.

Just ask any woman who in the scene and they will tell you they have experienced some sort of sexism at one point or another. It's absolutely real and it happened, and still does. I like Angela and Alissa's vocals, but Angela's will always have a place on my favs for being spine chillingly scary.
Honestly, while Alissa is good, she doesn't really fit Arch Enemy very well. Angela was the voice of Arch Enemy and always will be.

Probably she (Angela) left music because that kind of singing demands to much effort and energy. I understand she was one of the pioneers in gutural female voices. She deserve respect for daring to do something other women haven't done before. Unlike other metal women of such style, she is so down to earth and she doesn't needs to use a disguise to impress. She fits better than others as a front woman in Metal bands, in my opinion.

Short answer: Hell yes, it's awesome with a great soundtrack.
Long answer: It's kinda a satirical comedy. And all of the bosses based on various archetypes and they are fucking wicked, they even have one punk rock zombie and a viking metal zombie. It's pretty short though and the combat system might be annoying at first since you don't have that many moves(it is hack and slash). But it's super cheap now and worth it.

*Doomsday Machine* is one of few albums I still listen to the whole CD at once! All 11 tracks! Michael's riff, Christopher's solo, Sharlee's thumping bass, Daniel's killer drumming and Angela's balanced crisp voice made this a killer album! 🤟💥
