@@sutterbysstreetrods4023 I'm planning on keeping it mostly original. It has the 429 motor with 50k miles, the rear window was gone, so I got another one from Desert Valley Auto, it has a holley carburetor, but I'm looking for the original. It's primed down right now, going back Aspen White.
That's fair. I wasn't sure how much I wanted to put into this one either, so far I've doubled my investment in it and I'll be putting at least another thousand dollars into it getting the heads redone. After that I need to do floors (correctly) and interior, get the heat and AC working, do window seals, and then I'd like to put a sound system in it.
Thanks! Unfortunately, she's been down since last September, but I should finally be getting my cylinder heads back from the machine shop within the next week and I can throw those back on, button it back up, change fluids, fix a couple little things and be back on the road again hopefully before next weekend. Once it's back on the road, fixing the rust the right way and paint are probably next, then interior. I really would love to keep the patina but with the amount of rust repair I need to do, I'm thinking I'll do the body a satin black and then paint the roof with a pearl white base and then layer different shades of blues and teals and turquoises to do some old school lowrider style paint.
@@sutterbysstreetrods4023 duuuude!! That is gonna be so sick!! I really love the colors that you’re thinking about right now cause that would look absolutely beautiful on that car!! You gotta post a update video on it when you get her back on the road cause I can’t wait to see it!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯💯

Do you have any pix or video of the rear lower bracket?
You mean the bag bracket? I thought I did, but maybe not; the BC Fab bracket just bolts in place on the axle if I remember right.
How’s that build been going these past couple months?? I literally just watched all of your videos on this car and it looks awesome so far!

Did you end up making the front shock brackets?
Not yet, car is still down, has been since last September. Haven't had time or motivation to work on it.
I see you became a LOWRIDER homeboy cholo. HA
Did you upgrade your charging system?
Not yet, no - I will eventually, when I finally get around to putting a sound system in the car.
