    Now I know I'm old because I remember his dad playing on Kentucky and I'm like is this Jeff Sheppard's son? His dad was more athletic but just a piece in Pitinos system, this kid looks like he can control the game.

    Could you imagine Reed at UK all four years? He would’ve been in the 90s. Being a Kentucky guy he could’ve been the biggest legend if it was mandatory players would have to stay in college for 3 years.

    • @Hoop_Doctors
      @Hoop_Doctors  Před 3 měsíci +2

      It would be so fun and UK would definitely win a national championship! He's NBA ready, so might be a tough sell.

      Why should kids stay in school for multiple years when they are pro ready?

    If we're talking earnings, Reed is far more famous in Kentucky than anywhere else, so his NIL could be astronomical if he came back, but it will mostly dry up if he leaves. Outside a rookie contract, he won't have a lot of endorsement opportunities the first year or so until he builds a reputation in his new NBA city. So it's not a given he can make more money next year going pro.

    • @Hoop_Doctors
      @Hoop_Doctors  Před 3 měsíci

      Rookie contract includes signing bonus. He will be lottery putting his earning to least 12-20 million. He’ll make maybe 3 mill. In nil.

    Rex Chapman said in his book he was paid 700k by UK boosters to stay another year. He said he had so much money inside of a shoebox under his bed at UK. You think Sheppard can't get that much. It's not the money for him.
