Dexter Wansel performing 'Life On Mars' live @ Jazz Cafe 7 2 2020

Dexter took us on a ‘Voyager’ trip and showed us his musical ‘Mysteries Of The World’ via his ‘ Theme From The Planets’ and an insight to the extra terrestrial Jazz funk Boogie elements of ‘Life On Mars’. Apologies for the occasional muffled sound, I unknowingly covered the speaker on my camera when I was recording, but it's still worth seeing. The band led by musical director and bassist Ernie McKone were pretty tight and helped bring this song to life!!

I am a shamed to say, I have not heard from Bro Dexter in decades. I did not know that he was behind the Jones girls nights over Egypt. That was and awesome groove . And a wonderful interpretation by the Jones girls. They killed it. I still listen to the work he did with vocalist Jean Carne. Brilliant work to say the least.
