I'm new to your channel and I subscribed . I don't even know where to begin, I'm amazed at every one of these designs. Can I pick a favorite, I really can't. But I can say that the last design, the most jega blocks used was a beautiful, high end piece of art. Never would I have dreamed this was made with blocks. I know I can't follow the more complicated ones. When u get to a certain age things just don't flow like they use to. So I am certainly going to try some of the easier ones. I saved this video 4 later. I want to say to you that you are an amazing woman, so creative and I enjoyed your calm soothing voice. Thank you so much 4 sharing.
Oh my gosh Doris- THANK YOU for all your kind words!!! I'm so happy you found my channel, and so happy you're enjoying the videos!!! You should NOT be afraid to try the more complicated projects- they are just more time-consuming- but you can TOTALLY do them!!! I'm so thankful and happy you are here!!!! ☺❤

Number 10 looks like lips! I would love that mounted on the wall as a decoration! Ur creativity is off the chain! You go!!!!
Thank you Karyn- yes I know, the planter definitely does also look like lips-lol! Love the idea of mounting it on the wall- thanks for that. Thanks so much for your kind words!!😊
Hello and love them all. I can’t wait to get started. I do have one question. Why the different glues? What makes you choose certain glue over another for a different project? Thank you.
Thanks so much- the glue situation is basically that the Dollar tree super glue wood glue is a good glue with pretty strong hold. If I'm running low, I will use the Titebond quick and thick wood glue- which is also a pretty strong hold. Then if I'm using the item outside , or its heavy (and needs extra strong hold) -or if its going to be in any wet areas- I'll use the E-6000 , which is extremely strong but takes a long time to dry. I use the hot glue mostly for video purposes- if I need things to hold quickly- its not the strongest or most long lasting however. Thats my basic thought process-lol. Hope that answers your question! Thanks so much for watching!!!😊
Wow !!! I ❤️ love all them !!! I have a stash of tumbling towers as well. I'm fond of heart's so I think I should start with one of them. I'm new here so I hit your subscribe and like buttons. 😊
Thanks so much Kim- and welcome!!! I'm very glad you're here!!! Thanks so much for watching and for commenting!!!!☺❤
@@MedicatedHousewifeDIYs you're very welcome!!!
I love them all!! I don’t know which to try making first, but I’m excited to start creating. I especially like staining the blocks with the instant coffee mixture. How simple is that?!!❤
Right? The coffee staining is definitely not my original idea, its been around for a while- but it works so well, and its cheap and easy too!!! Thanks so much for watching Joanna!!! I'm so glad you're enjoying the DIY's!!☺❤
They have a lot of the faux leather you can cut into strips in the cricket section
Thanks Carolyn- I appreciate the advice-and thanks for watching!😊
Love these!! You used different wood glues in different projects. Can you explain why?
Thanks Sarona!! Most of the time I use the Dollar Tree super glue wood glue, and the hold is very strong. Sometimes, if I’m out of it-I will use the titebond quick and thick wood glue, which drys a little quicker, but the hold is similar to the dollar tree stuff. I use hot glue , mostly to get the project done quickly when I’m filming it-but it’s not great for long term hold. Lastly, I will use some E6000 if I want something to hold long term, or for outside. I hope that answers your question!! Thanks for watching!😊
❤
Thank you!!!
As always I love all of your creations! You have an amazing imagination! I make my own shellac and you're right about the color. It does come out beautiful!
Thank you so much Donna!! Yes, the shellac always looks neon yellow on video- it can be so misleading - I always worry about that, so cool that you make your own!! Thanks for watching -and as always, your support!!😊❤️❤️❤️
@Medicated Housewife DIY's well of course you are one of my faves ❤️ and crafting is my therapy too 😄
Greetings from rotorua nz ❤ your tutorials new subscriber we haven't a $tree here in nz they are smaller $* star stores don't provide everything a $tree shop does in usa. An x3 invoice... we have to shop around awesome what you do,
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!😀
How do you come up with these? So creative.
Thank you so much!! I'm so happy you're enjoying them!!❤
This is my first time in new channel very impressive. I like the bowl but the speed is a little hard to follow.
Thank you so much- I know its so hard to fit so much content into so little time- lol, you can slow down the playback in the settings on youtube- or pause the video to catch up- hope that helps. There is also a full video of just the bowl on my channel:czcams.com/video/3LwfrWUiFZk/video.html Thanks so much for watching!!!!❤
What do you use to stop the Wood from getting messed up from the soap and water
Hi Debra. You can use a sealer - any kind of wood sealer ( like the shellac I used on a couple of them). A couple of coats should keep the soap dishes pretty durable- although I wouldn’t recommend you keep them in a wet area 24/7- give them some drying time and they’ll stay nicer longer. Thanks so much for watching!😊
All your projects came out beautifully, but if one trys to make one we would have no idea where to start or what to do. If you could slow down so we can see exactly what you are doing that would be good.
Thanks Rose! I'm glad you like the projects!! Unfortunately, some of those videos are old- and I used to edit them at high speeds to fit more content into less time- so when I made this compilation, I couldn't make them any slower. I don't edit like that anymore- and my newer videos (2023 and newer), are all much slower and easier to follow. Sorry for the inconvenience- hope that helps!! Thanks so much for watching!!😀
Love these. Great ideas. Why is your name Medicated housewife 🤔
Thank you so much!!! its just a funny nickname- I've suffered from anxiety and depression for many years- and crafting has always been an outlet for me- I just added the "nickname" to the theme of the channel because for me- it fits! Thanks for watching!!!😊
Im super curious about the size of your blocks. I looked at making one of your coasters with my blocks and it was closer to the size of a trivet lol. Here in Canada our blocks are 3"×1"×0.5". So far the only things I have made have been my own creations but when i picture my blocks it just seems like the end piece would be much bigger. Am I crazy? ( dont ask my kids that question. They will say I am 😂)
Hi Tracy- The Dollar Tree Tumbling Tower Blocks are just under 2" long and just over 1/2" wide- so they are smaller than your's. But these are also smaller than standard "Jenga" branded blocks too. So, NO- you are NOT crazy....at least when it comes to this! lol!!!😂 Hope that helps!!!! Thanks so much for watching!!!❤️
@Medicated Housewife DIY's thanks so much!! And the weird thing is that my blocks are actually from our dollar store here. Of course they aren't a dollar but they are really nice blocks. I was actually thinking about making your platter. I'm glad I asked because it would have been massive at the end . Btw I'm also new subscriber. Your diys are amazing!!!
I wanted to share with you something that I made out of your trivet that you made. I made a wall vanity out of it. I hope that is ok 2:13
How can I share a picture of it with you
That's awesome Cindy! I'd love to see- email a picture to me medicatedhousewifediy@gmail.com❤
I sent it to you. I hope you love the outcome. If you need information on it just let know
Error x3 the price of everything kk from nz
I wish we could get towering blocks in Atlantic Canada. Dollar Tree won’t even let us order on line! You have to live in Quebec to BC. Makes me so angry!
Blocks they had in our "Dollarama" are larger, and there are numbers on the ends? Weird….they were in with games, not craft dept….
That IS strange!! I guess you could try and sand off the numbers maybe?- or paint them, although that kind of eliminates the "wood grain" look in the projects.
That's so annoying!!! I always have to order the blocks online in cases- because they are never in stock at any of my dollar trees- but I can't understand why they won't ship to you- sorry!☹
"Medicated" meaning "420" 💚💨 friendly crafter?
Lol Michelle- Whatever gets you through the night- I'm in total support of!!! We all have to "medicate" in whatever ways work for us!!!!❤💚💊- I'm the last to judge anyone else!!!!😉
I was wondering also, good to know. I loved the bowl with curve, beautiful
Can you slow down on here your going tofast for me
Yes I know- I'm so sorry, unfortunately some of my older videos we’re sped up - I don't film like that anymore though- so you may enjoy my newer videos, they are a much more normal speed! Thanks for watching! 😃
