I miss the days when duels were fun for both sides. I miss being able to feel like every opponent was an actual person and not just "another X user". The game no longer has a soul, you'll basically see the same 4 to 5 decks over and over and over again. Call me a boomer, call me a shitter, you're probably right, but I miss the old days.
kind of agree.. decks like this one doesnt need an opponent, you can just set up, draw, do everything solo, no enemy needed to play this deck...i also miss those days when you had a game when you actually get to play cards
One of the reasons I chose to play against the computer in Link evolution than to play Master Duel even though it looks better. I'm not going to miss any of the new cards. One of the last cards I cared for is Chaos Max.

I would always love to see your take on a meta Super Quantal deck. I love the archetype and want to see how you would make it over the top.
Unfortunately the deck isn't as good as it was due to the fact that the meta is alot faster now :(
This deck is truly a Gem!
When me and friends start playing Duel Links I couldn't find a deck that suited me at all. Everyone find their decks suited for them but I was still searching had nothing to do until I discovered Gem-Knight and how unbelievable easy they are to use and they are amazing, strong fusion monster, I could fusion summon 4 times in one round and I felt just amazing. Ruby is my fave its like an ace and I can do 6500 piercing damage if i have the right combo also with Brilliant Diamond and Master Diamond and Lapiz Lazuli. Oh this deck is amazing, well done and becoming my favorite deck to use.

Gem-Knights have always been know as an FTK deck ever since Lapis Lazuli release.
I feel like the only viable option for Gem-Knight is literally the FTK

As a person who grew up watching the duelist kingdom arc and then starting playing few weeks ago. I am curious when did Yu Gi Oh become so toxic and not a back and forth strategy game like showed in the anime? Just curious, just trying to understand.
It been around since the start, but those kinds were usually rouge decks that got quickly ban back then. It just got more and more common during the Xyz era and became common place during the link era.
There were still big combo decks back in the day but they were less frequent and got hit by the list quicker. I'd say ever since Pendulums got introduced so like 2014, it just got exceedingly worse since links tho as now it's even easier to summon big monsters
Power creep. Since YGO doesn't have a set rotation, each new card has to be better than the ten thousand cards before, to make it desirable. 3 card combos became 2 card combos then 1 card combos, 5-turn kills became otks, and so on.

You can actually otk by going second with the new gaia deck. I tried it in diamond and otk so many decks like ishizu, runick, spright etc.

In link evolution I played an otk version of this deck instead, a lot more fun and a lot more consistent.
But its fun for the person using it. I went ahead and tried it in diamond and most of the time its either i ftk them or they scoop 🤣🤣🤣
