Andries interviewt Megadeth op de Lokerse Feesten

“Dave is Megadeth en Megadeth is Dave”. Gisteren stond de legendarische thrashmetalband Megadeth op het podium van de Lokerse Feesten. Net voor ze het podium betraden, had Andries de eer om gitarist Kiko en bassist James aan de tand te voelen over de legendarische band, werken met Mustaine en hoe het is om samen in een band te spelen met Belgische drummer Dirk Verbeuren. That was an awesome interview! The guys are so cool. Though both are also legends they know that you have to serve for Dave Mustaine and the legacy of Megadeth if you apply for a band membership. They will never be as much part of the songwriting-process as Junior or Marty Friedman were. Kiko is a great guitarist but he mainly plays the iconic solos of Friedman and Poland and Juniors bass-sound/playing was so unique... its almost impossible to walk into his footsteps. But LoMenzo is a good choice. He has a quite similar stage presence like Junior. However both will be always regarded as session-musicians by the fans.
