They need to seriously slow down on putting Ryan in there with established p4p fighters. Ryan was a borderline prospect and was un proven when he fought tank. Ryan should have faced rollie, pitbull, kambosos, pedraza or chon before fighting tank but I think he was looking at the $$$$$$
I think it's mainly that Teo is the most vulnerable looking of the young stars that he can challenge next. Plus Ryan has some abilities that Teo tends to struggle against, mainly being rangy and quick and fighting well from the outside.
If Teo gets on the inside consistently, Ryan will be in trouble. If Ryan can keep the fight on the outside, he could pose major problems.

The Teo fight with Tank was just a rumor. Calvin Ford basically said that was just a rumor like the Keith Thurman stuff. I was excited and definitely would give Tank credit if he actually fights Teo but I can almost guarantee you he won't fight anybody close to Teo's level next. Teo ain't Tank. He's bigger, but not as heavy a puncher, doesn't have as good of timing or punch placement, and struggles with quick fighters who box well on the outside.
If Ryan has cleaned up some of his weak points with Derrick James, he could be a problem for Teo. Not saying I'd favor him to win, but he does some things well that Teo has struggled with in the past. We'll see how it goes though.
Also, Ryan's been calling for these fights against De La Hoya's wishes, like with the Tank fight. De La Hoya would prefer to put him on easy street. But, credit to Ryan he has wanted the smoke more and more lately.

I honestly thought if Ryan could've just stayed disciplined with his jab, he could've been a big problem for Tank. Though Teo doesn't have the same power, I think he's faster than Tank and has better footwork and puts his punches together better. That's why I think he'll beat Ryan worse. I understand where ur coming from and it’s true u have to outwork canelo and Benavides does have high output. But Benavides and bivol are not the same at all. Bicol can get away with it cus he has a in n out style where he can evade a counter and on top of that his defense is solid and has great head movement. Benavides is the total opposite and he’s there to be hit and has bad defensive tendencies. If Benavides were to try those 10 punch combos and have a high output he would be met with something in return cus his footwork is ass and he don’t fight on the back foot. Benavides is tailor made for canelo.
