MANSI+ (Maternal and Neonatal Survival Initiative) plays an important role in strengthening village-based healthcare systems across the Kolhan region of Jharkhand. With an aim to reduce preventable deaths in mothers, newborns, and children U5 by 50%, the programme continues to reach remote and inaccessible areas of the state.
At the heart of this initiative are the Mansi Mitras - the frontline health workers who play a pivotal role in ensuring timely interventions during high-risk pregnancies and in providing healthcare to mothers and newborns.
This film is an attempt to take a glimpse into the lived experiences and stories of the Mansi Mitras, and acknowledge their unwavering dedication to providing essential healthcare services to mothers and neonates in some of the most challenging environments and conditions imaginable.
