I agree that the test of whether a cover is good is whether it evokes the same reaction as the original did. I never thought of it that way before, but I see that's certainly true. Glad to hear you've got Lexington Lab Band and Foxes and Fossils on your to-do list, as well as more L&F and HSCC. You could go for a long time on those groups alone. I've got one more for you, but I'll visit your request line later.
Oh man, these guys are great!
She has a great set of pipes, the same timbre as Ann and a great control of what she does with them. Super cover, hadn't heard it yet.
Timbre (Timber has more to do with carpentry rather than music.)
@@waynekasmar4401 Lol, it was a typo, thanks for the correction nonetheless.
thanks Stratele Studios - there are many of this band's you tube clips that you can review - if you review some more in the future - we'll be watching ! we enjoy your professional approach and breakdown

Thanks, Jeff. Such a fun vibe. Love it!
Brad, the drummer is also a phenomenal singer!
Real nice👍
Great music artists. They were all good. Excuse me for changing the subject but I haven't seen that you've listened to Ren's new song with female back up singers. It is the best I've ever heard from him. It's like he almost grew up over night.
I love that these cover bands a little of thier own tweaks. So times i like the newer versions bettr. Hate to say it.
He did a mash up of message in a bottle and aa newer song done by Jungle. I want to see your reaction to it. Please, please, pleas.
Takes a heck of good-looking, well put together woman to pull off wearing pants like that, Jeff!
..."I don't know how the rest of you feel about that..." - the closeness to the original etc. that you delineated.
You and I are on the same page when it comes to how we choose to view these amazingly difficult to orchestrate - literally and figuratively - productions. Yes, part of the allure and fun of a tribute band is how close they can come to the original but, if that's all we wanted to hear, see and experience by listening to them? Then we would be better off just listening to the original recording.
To try to put their performances into a straightjacket, to try to make the measure of their success how note perfect compared to the past they are destroys our ability to enjoy them and their efforts in the present.
I am sure there are many out there who need that rigid type of rendering to feel comfortable and happy but I, for one, like you, am not one of them! LOL
One of the attractions these cover bands (or tribute bands) have for me is the improved fidelity of modern technology over what was available for the original recording.
The gal is Susannah Mirana. She is an Australian performer of her own right. She visited HSCC and did a few songs with them.... and I agree she is REALLY easy on the eyes.
You would like Lexington Labs cover band. They are well seasoned and cover a variety of music of the Heart era. Love you channel.
I've also recommended the Lexington Lab Band for their tribute covers. As I commented, they are America's answer to Leonid & Friends. All their covers are 👍🔥
This is a pretty good cover, but you have to check out the version of this cover by Lexington Lab Band. It is so much better.
Jeff, this group is good on a variety of covers, and I like them.
Me being a lifelong musician and a bassist for 53 of those years, I'm recommending you check out America's version of Leonid & Friends. They are the Lexington Lab Band and operate on the same principals as Leonid's group. They are a large band with a primary core of main musicians and add musicians to match what songs they are covering. Their leader is also a bassist/vocalist - multi-instrumentalist and chief mixer. Their covers are spot-on note for note with a much better overall sound than the original but faithful to the original arrangement.
Their covers of Heart are mind-blowing with their female vocalist channeling Ann Wilson at every stage. Their Doobie Brothers shine and so does their Steely Dan. They do all the usual like My Old School , Reelin' In The Years, but also do the challenging ones like "Peg" and "Josie".
Their covers of Boston are "out of the park" fantastic and they capture that famous 'Boston sound' and that high Brad Delp vocals and layered harmonies - albeit recorded live with state of the art video and audio like Leonid.
Finally, their Eagles covers will getcha! They have all the period correct instruments and super harmonies for songs like 'Hotel California, One of These nights, Lyin' Eyes, New Kid in Town, and Life in the Fast Lane as well as Joe Walsh's Life's Been Good to me.
Please give this group a listen and I'm sure you'll agree with me that they are indeed, America's answer to Leonid & Friends. They were actually on You Tube a year or two earlier.
Tune in on Friday!
IF there was a tribute band that sounded "Exactly" like the original band, then the original band is not unique anymore. So its ok to be a little different, but enough like them to pay them the Tribute they deserve. and thats my two cents worth.
