  • Since we had the full lineup of Style-18 small body Martins in stock, we figured it was time for a shootout! Ever wondered what makes a 0-18 different from a 00-18? How does the 000-18 compare, too? Join us as we find out, and stick around for the jam at the end!

    Great. Finally have guys who can do songs so that I can hear the tonality of the guitars in a minute or so capacity.

    I love the three guitars playing together at the end. Such a great sound.

    Unless it’s the same person playing the same song, it’s not comparing anything

      Fair enough, Mr. Wang! In that case, you should check out our 15-Series video and our 17-Series shootout. You may also appreciate our comparison of an $800 Recording King and an OM-28V.

    Great comparison, thank you! I have a D-18 and a 000-15SM, and every time I play the D-18 I think - yep - but I can’t help wishing to try the 0, 00 or 000 simultaneously to make sure I’m not missing out!

      Do you by chance know the depth of each model’s body? I saw you mentioned the 0-18 has a 13.5” width, but just curious if the depth of each box varies? Just curious. Thanks!

      @TellurideMusicCo  Před rokem

      @@LFF_8w3 You bet! All three are the same depth at the end block-4-1/8." Interestingly, the 0 is 1/16" deeper at the upper bout.

      Hi Dan, your comment is interesting. I have a D18 (I have the same feeling that you describe) and I'm looking for a smaller body 000 guitar. Tried out a 000 15 SM that sounded great but was sold when I returned to the store. What do you expect from a 0, 00, 000 18 that you don't have with the 000 15 SM? Thanks.

    Although entertaining, it would be more helpful to have one person (constant style) playing same strumming and picking on each. Also show mic and placement

    They should have extended that jam and let each player take a lead two or three times. It would be cool to compare and contrast them in that setting.

    Madeleine Peyroux use a 018, 0018 or 00018? ❤

    The 000 sounded VERY out of tune. And unless it’s the same person playing the same song, it’s not comparing anything

    My FS800 yamaha goes head to head with all three of these....added a zero glide zero fret nut.....it focuses the sound and increases the sustain. This FS800 has a perfect neck....blows my mind....better then most american martin necks. No capo buzz to the 5th fret....better then my friends D-45 (11K dollar guitar)....he gets capo buzz all over....my neck looks better then his.

    I agree, I don’t feel like I learned anything about the differences in these guitars from this demo.

    Doesn't sound very good. Sounds like tin. To shallow. Those are fingerstyle guitars.

      Ur smoking crack. Sounds good to me. Maybe it’s the players. And if so then who cares they’re making music lol . Ya ever thought to showcase an instrument to its fullest potential you have to be practically a virtuoso. 99.9% of guitars that ever were made and will ever be made have an almost 100% chance of never being actually played to its fullest potential. 😎😎😎 that’s crazy to think. But true

    • @skylark5789
      @skylark5789 Před 3 měsíci

      True. Unless you can finger pick, just strumming is pointless. The whole purpose of these is their perfect articulation, intonation on individual strings.
