How is this a decentralized exchange if you have to put funds on it to trade?

Good question. Many Perp DEXs do this. Those funds are in a smart contract and ApeX can’t control it or own it like when it’s on a CEX. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but that’s how I understand it

@RankFi So, i wonder how you would recover funds from the smart contract in the event that the dex goes away.
