I went through the headache of painting the brake calipers....... doesn't matter what paint you use. Everyone do yourself a favor and get them powder coated 💯
Looks like you have the correct knuckles installed ... 2008 and earlier, back into the C5's, the knuckles were flexing under the increased braking force / pressure of the larger calipers and the caliper mounting tabs would snap off! Starting in 2009, ALL C6 models came with the new and improved "beefier" knuckle to handle any brake upgrade or package.

Am about to buy a full set oh grand sport calipers with rotor for 400 and wasn't sure if I need the brake lines but this help alot thank you

Now, there is just soooo much to comment on in this video. So, let's start at the beginning with IRON VETTE arriving at you house. I love the aerial footage from that Alien Spaceship. I guess you have friends from a Galaxy far, far away!🤣 Thank you so much for that footage. It really give a whole new perspective one's car when it's filmed from above. I guess I did pretty good making those donuts in cul de sac didn't I? Oh wait, that was Junior on his tricycle wasn't it!😉

Thank you again so much for showing IRON VETTE in this video. Just for the record guys and girls, what I've done some of you may love and some of you not so much. But ultimately I'm just having fun with having fun with my GS. Ultimately nothing I've done can't be undone and I do have every OEM part that has been removed and replace with something. So all you, whether you have a Vette, truck or motorcycle, ride it, enjoy it and have fun with it. Just look at Matty! He's always smiling and having fun with all his vehicles.

WOW! Every time you make a change to your car it is super hot! Can anyone tell me what wheels(black) are those? What are the dimensions?
Make sure yall put red locktite on the caliper bolts that hold the pads in place. Over time the vibrations will back it out of the thread. One of mine came out while driving. The bolt ended up wedged between my spoke and caliper, seizing my wheel. This caused damage to my wheel and the caliper. Luckily i was only going 5 mph, could have caused a major accident.

Very nice! I’m doing the same conversion to my C6. What wheels are you running? Did have to use wheel spacers to clear the calipers?

GM stopped making the front calipers so good luck finding them if yours are un repairable.
