    Thank you so so so much for this video and every other of your videos on ‘beauty therapist’. I am considering to get into beauty therapist course. But was unsure about it. However your videos made it so clear and answered my confusions. I do have a question about what’s the difference between beautician and aesthetician? And how to become an aesthetician? But over all thank you so much for an amazing contents you’re coming up with. ^^

      Glad my videos have helped! A beauty therapist works in a salon/spa and does nails, waxing, facials, massage etc. A aesthetics therapist generally works in a beauty clinic and does advanced facials and body treatments etc. The qualifications you need to become a aesthetics therapist is a Level 2,3 and 4 in beauty therapy. Have a look at job advertisements near you and see what they require because it can vary depending on where you live

    I’m trained in itec but couldn’t take the exam. Do you think you need the qualification to work as receptionist. Some say you do I never knew why 😂

    • @melisatesbel
      @melisatesbel  Před 5 lety +1

      Lisa McHugh It really depends on the salon/spa. Some salons do and some don’t. Some salons don’t even have a receptionist they expect us to do both treatments and reception. Obviously if you are trained in beauty you have more knowledge about the treatments 🤷‍♀️

    • @melisatesbel
      @melisatesbel  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi thank you! Erm I don't think there is one that is the best lol they are all pretty much the same. They only differ slightly depending on what exam board they have. As long as it is a proper college and not a course in a salon or a random person who's giving out certificates then you're fine. I did both my level 2 and 3 at LCBT and I would go there again I personally was happy

    Never again to work for someone. Not for hotel spa not for salon. They just use you. You work hard but they give you silly money.
