Prohibition of friendship with Non Muslims in Quran and Hadith -
1. Let not believers take disbelievers as allies or friends rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah, except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination. - Quran 3.28
2. Those who chose disbelievers for their friends [awliyaa] instead of believers! Do they look for power at their hands? Lo! all power appertaineth to Allah. - 4.139
3. O you who have believed, do not take the disbelievers as allies [awliyaa] instead of the believers. Do you wish to give Allah against yourselves a clear case? - 4.144
4. O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors [awliyaa]: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah does not guide unjust people. - 5.51
Even family members like father and mother are to be disowned if they are Kafir -
O ye who believe! take not for protectors your fathers and your brothers if they love kufr above Faith: if any of you do so, they do wrong. - 9.23
Now we will look at a few hadiths -
1. 'Amr b. 'As reported: I heard it from the Messenger of Allah quite audibly and not secretly: Behold! the posterity of my fathers, that is, so and so, are not my friends. Verily Allah and the pious believers are my friends. - Sahih Muslim 1.417
2. Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said: A man follows the religion of his friend; so each one should consider whom he makes his friend. - Sunan Abu Dawud 41:4815
Also all the scholars of Islam from earliest days have agreed that friendship with a non Muslim is totally haram and a Muslim should never have non Muslim friends.
Even moving and living in a Non Muslim majority country is haram. According to Quran 4.97, Muslims who go to live in Non Muslim majority countries will go to hell.
“Verily, as for those whom the angels take (in death) while they are wronging themselves (as they stayed among the disbelievers even though emigration was obligatory for them), they (angels) say (to them): “In what (condition) were you?” They reply: “We were weak and oppressed on the earth.” They (angels) say: “Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?” Such men will find their abode in Hell - what an evil destination!” - 4.97
In the Hadith, the Prophet said: “I disown every Muslim who settles among the mushrikeen.” Narrated by Abu Dawood, 2645; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abu Dawood.
Having said this, the Quran never promotes violence against kafirs. Kafirs should be treated kindly and justly but friendship with them is not possible in Islamic law.
Kafirs have 3 options in Islamic law according to the Quran - to fight a war against Muslims, convert or pay Jizyah. This verse tells this clearly -
Fight those who believe not in God and in the Last Day, and who do not forbid what God and His Messenger have forbidden, and who follow not the Religion of Truth among those who were given the Book, till they pay the jizyah with a willing hand, being humbled. - 9.29

Ik oankar - One absolute being (God)
Satnam - Eternal truth it's name
Karta Purkh - Creator
Nirbau - without fear
Nirvair - without hate/ enmity
Akal Murat - Deathless/timeless image
Ajuni - Beyound birth and death
Saibang - self existant
Gurprasad - known by the Guru's Grace.
This is repeated numerous times and at the start of every section as a constant reminder.
In the words of the tenth Sikh Guru - Guru Gobind Singh "recognise the human race as ONE"

Absolutely, Religion should be personal. It should not disturb anything. People just made changes and tag as this is based on religion. This should stop. Religion should not be discussed as an achievement.
Ironically religion has always been the problem for mankind, wherever you find it. Why can't people just live a moral life instead of putting the fear of God into His own creation? Get rid of religion and we'll all be better off.

And what I said in my first comment was a small example. So many problems with religion, including war, conversions, hatred, racism etc all in the name of the most kind, loving and merciful. We’re all supposed to be one and created by the all mighty, and here we are dividing ourselves even all the way down to how we’re supposed to look. Like beards, turbans , skull caps and other forms of dressing etc. It’s laughable. We should just lead moral, friendly and loving lives. We shouldn’t need someone (God, prophets, whoever) telling us how we should live our lives. Whether through force, fear, or however. It’s your life and as long as you’re not being a rogue, criminal etc you should be allowed to live it the way you want to. Finally, if all religions teach basically the same message, then 1. Why do we have so many religions 2. Why fight over teachings 3. Why are there so many problems in the world because of religion? I think religion has killed more than anything else in human history.

Sikhism also has the same concepts of dharma, Karma and yuga. Raam naam appears 2500 times in Guru Granth sahib. Sikhism emerged from Sanatan.
