Seriously? What Google services that you use? Gmail can be access with any mail app (like they do on iPhone), CZcams works fine in a mobile browser. The only one that people would miss is the Google Maps app. But other than that, what other Google services would you miss???

bryan david not everybody knows how to Do it. 90% at least dont even know what an apk is and they only use Google playstore. This Phone might be à success but after this one Huawei Will lose à lot of clients since everybody Will be aware that huawei doesn’t ship google apps ! Too bad.

Still will get one, $1100 for a camera tech too cheap, just for video record night mode worth every penny.
Night mode should be mind-blowing considering how the one yr old mate 20 is a beast on that department

Setting a new standard for mobile phone. Huawei deserves a crown for sure. I have the Note10+ and my wife has the iPhone 11 pro max and we're both jealous. I'll sell our iPhone so I can to buy Huawei Porse Design.
I'm confused what does this phone does better than your phones? Note 10+ has better design and UI (features and look) and iPhone 11 pro max has more polished software/app experience + ecosystem.

@@jonathanfields4ever but in this case the notch is s but slimmer and its pack with tech. Alien tech to be precise. Unlike iphone they claim faster faceID but it's not. Its not working in landscape and when fully stretch your arm it doesn't work as well.

there's no such think as a Android without google services
Android is open source and you can install any app you see fit even if it takes a bit longer to do so
I know, it's just not officially certified, which isn't exactly a problem, you could just mute the notifications Google keep giving you about unlicensed Google services

To clarify the Mate 30 has no Google apps but CAN ACCESS Google services. Google services are offered universally to the Internet and to all devices. There are two ways to access them: run a dedicated app for each service, or simply use a web browser to access all. Desktop computers and tablets all use a web browser. Many phone users also use a web browser. Some prefer the simplicity of installing dedicated apps made by Google to access them, but you need one app for each service. In the end there are millions of websites and the the web browser is the UNIVERSAL app for them. Web browser apps are all free and they are of the most sophisticated designs. For today large screen phone equipped with powerful hardware the browser is the ideal solution.
As to installing Android apps most phones come with the Google Play app to access it. But since the Mate 30 do not have Play app there are two ways:
1. Access the Huawei AppGallery app store. It has some 45,000 apps and Huawei will invest $1 billion to grow it to be as big as Play store. Hell for $1 billion it will be bigger than Play store!
2. From a PC access Play using a web browser. With the phone also logged in to Google account, click Install from the PC to install into the phone. I installed all my apps this way.
The Mate 30 is the world's most advanced and best phones, period. They can do stunning things out of the box without the need to install any app. Install a dozen apps from AppGallery and you are good to go. Not having Google app pre-installed is just a minor inconvenience. In fact, the entire population of China, biggest mobile phone user of the world, do not need any Google app or services. They got an app ecosystem far superior.
The belligerence of the U.S. government is world renowned. It's 'head I win tail you lose'. China and Huawei is leading the world to de-couple from American arrogance and belligerence. The world now have an alternative.
True , they should give more context to what NO GOOGLE means : It means google isn't pre-installed because of licensing and china - usa issues ... however nothing stops the user from installing it ... it's like getting an iphone and complaining why isn't youtube pre installed ( it used to be back in ios 3/4 )

Indeed I expect developers to make their own third-party apps to access Google services and put them in the AppGallery. And count on Huawei to make its own services to compete with Google services outside of China. Within China services far superior than those of Google are already available and used by millions.

Oppo's waterfall display doesn't have working curved edges, well they work now for newer OPPO phones but they are just for looks a year ago
Beautiful phone. I'll be upgrading from my mate 10 pro when they end support, so probably next year with the mate 40 pro. As for google i can't be happier for this outcome. All i need is the google maps app and CZcams. The rest can stay in browser like fb etc etc

I really don't think that the absence of an official Google support service is a huge problem. I have owned a Nokia phone bought from China and they instructed me to just download the Play Store from their app market. It was done so easily, and the good thing is I can HANDPICK only the Google Apps that I WANT to use, such as Google Search, CZcams, Maps, Chrome, Keep, Play Services, Play Games (because I am a sucker for Achievements) Photos, and Drive. I have no need for Play Music, Play Movies, Google Docs, Spreadsheet, etc. If they come preinstalled, most of the apps can't even be removed, only disabled. The rant that these reviewers give make me think about how lazy people are for not being able to DOWNLOAD these apps themselves.
Its not about Google services people. Its about Security Updates.
Charging the smartphone in the car can be done as quickly as at home or at work with the HUAWEI SuperCharge Car Charger 40W and the Wireless Car Charger 27W.

actually I'm using gmail service but at the same time I like how Mate 30 series doesn't come with Google bundled. example I don't use Google Play Music，Movie，Duo，Hangout，etc
I never used the Google apps in my phone. Too many limitations and loss of privacy. I fired up the Opera for Android browser in my phone, click a bookmark and see my Gmail in its full glory like a PC.
no google apps is a bonus for me.its make straggle running in backround, drain faster the battery, eat the data, sometime can slowing smtphone. no problem to install n update it later..iphone also no gapps so no issue here.

I honestly think huawei will prevail. After all their huawei app gallery is getting bigger and bigger. And apps like facebook and Instagram and Netflix (that don't belong to Google) probably will be added. We shall see what happens with all the Google maps. But honestly I can live without them

People don't realize that the era o innovation is upon us. Or what. Y you thought that only Google and Apple would create innovative technologies? You can't stop the future. And huawei has all the resources. (and motivations thanks to Donald Trump) to innovate even more their brand. It's just a matter of patience.

Will users need to figure out how to unlock the bootloader themselves and then take to XDA Developers‘ forums to spread the word? Could Huawei post explicit instructions online on how to unlock the Huawei Mate 30 Pro bootloader to make things simple?
FYI, this is not like iPhone which you can install google apps easily in the App Store and run it. You've to install gms relative framework things first to run the google apps.

I have been a Huawei fan for a while now. I love they 📱 phones I have mate se love it, now this mate pro 30 just beautiful, without Google service, no problem I'm a supporter all the way, let's buy Huawei they makes excellent phones and that what the consumers want.

As a Chinese most of the android phones on china's market come with no GMS pre-installed, but I could always install it (it's very simple just an app don't even need to unlock BL) However on the latest Huawei Mediapad 6, I can't log in to Google even after I have play store and GMS installed which is really painful. I hope Huawei comes up with some way to let users install GMS

Bought a note 10 Plus and love it. Done buying phones until real advancements are made and these companies stop removing important features AND BUTTONS. And why is a waterfall display great? Increased incidental touches, decreased protection and ( on the note ) more difficult to use a pen on the edge of display when needed for selections. Id rather have a big FLAT display and 4 or 5 buttons for quick access to volume, notification/do not disturb control ( slider? ).. phone button.. google search button. Buttons are a good thing.

اخي الكريم المواقع كلها تتكلم عن الزوم .. فبعضها يقول 45x والبعض الاخر يقول 30x..
ففي كلا الحالتين المشاهد يتطلع على تجربة الزوم واظهاره في الفيديو في شرحك..
فكان الافضل تطل على نافذة مكتبك وتختار منظر بعيد وتسوي له زوم عشان نعرف فيما اذا كان يستاهل نشتريه.

use vcf for contacts backup
use alternate youtube, mail app
Firefox with sync is great
use Here maps/ Waze
