    I love how musicians explain their own rig and not let their guitar techs do it, longlive to Reece Scruggs .m/

    I met up with Reese and he's super chill to hang out with but on stage crushes it. Havok's Conformcide is Amazing. He recommended the Decimator to me and really helped clean up my sound...now for some Overdrive\m/...How about rig rundown on Exmortus.

    also, just a comment, if you want the amp that Reece is using, you may get closer with a JSX, the Triple X mark 2 amps were more or less rebranded JSX amps, though both the JSX and XXX amps are fantastic amps that I love. (Source: Fluff or Ryan Bruce talked about it).Anyway, can't wait for episode 100, thanks DTS

    Yeah, I like Scruggs. He's a great (metal) guitarist and seems like a nice, humble dude. Always wondered if he's distantly related to Earl Scruggs? Lol. Might explain some of the magic in his fingers. Havok are really good tho. Never seen them live but they're the best of the new thrash bands, for me. The drummer, Webber, is an absolute beast. Total machine.

    No thrash metal guitar player can talk about an amp being versatile...lol. It’s so versatile but I’ll be using the same sound the entire night. Whenever the metal guys have amps that are multi channel with numerous voicing I just laugh. Give them one crushing tone and the ability to make it louder for solos and you have 90% of any metal bands playing live, anywhere. These Peavey’s are good but not versatile. Clean and kill is what it does. There is no classic rock to be found in a triple X. The Bob Seger tribute down the street will not be using one...lol

    • @digitaltourbus
      @digitaltourbus  Před 4 lety

      I think his use of the word "versatile" might be coming from a different perspective. He maybe saying that the amp is versatile for the genre they play and fits all of his thrash metal needs.

    • @Skoora
      @Skoora Před 4 lety

      Digital Tour Bus ..Different perspective? I guess, if versatile means turn on and give me the one sound I’ll need for 95% of the gig. Then yes, it’s versatile. I’m not knocking the band, gear or anything. Just a musicians nature to make more of what they actually need or more of what they actually do with what they have. The XXX, 320 and even the JS don’t do anything but high gain and very clean. To call channel two on these amps a crunch channel is pretty amusing as they’re all metal as fuck.
