I just discovered a young female bass player who covers Tull (Heavy Horses; Black Sunday). Her love of his compositional genius shows on her face; comes through in her enjoyment of playing these songs, It's a pleasure to see youth memorializing this music.
Ian Anderson is an extraordinary musician he utilizes ancient wit and wisdom, Celtic rhythms and melodies with modern rock and roll progressions integrating acoustic guitar with electric guitar and results are Astounding
Also he is a magnificent flute player using metaphoric ideas and concepts. I have seen him perform live with Jethro Tull and solo and met him at the civic theater in down town Akron talked with him Briefly and got his autograph definitely unique experience

Been laughing at their “critical” assessments since first published! Called Floyd, “self indulgent”, panned Zeppelin releases throughout the 70’s. This is a masterwork of musicianship within it’s genre. By the way, Tull still not inducted into the R&R Hall of Shame. I have no more words.
Really appalling, as usual. RS should issue an official apology to all bands they ever foolishly knocked and whose astounding music, in hindsight, manifested one of the greatest creative moments in rock history.
I believe this was Jeffery’s last record as a member of the band in his Zebra zoot suit. Oh, great album by the way. Ian’s voice is at his peak. I’m just a Baker St. Muse.🎶
Lyrical content of Ian Anderson with his wit and wisdom and humor and the way his music is s mixture of acoustic and electric guitar with a tapestry of key board sounds while bass guitar and drums hold together the foundation of melodic rhythm and tempo and I don't know in their in yhe

This stuff is fun to listen to!
Ale spill puddle brew!!!!
My favorite Jethro Tull is between 1968 to 1972. They were unbeatable. By the way so were most of the great bands of that time.
The Beatles (1962-1970)
Jethro Tull (1968-1972)
The Moody Blues (1967-1972)
The Rolling Stones (1963-1973)
Led Zeppelin (1969-1971
Deep Purple (1968-1975)
Black Sabbath (1970-1972)
King Crimson (1969)
The Monkees (1966-1970)
Grand Funk (1969-1971)
Steppenwolf (1968-1972)
Yes (1969-1972)
etc.
All from this time period
Pink Floyd may have something to say about The Monkees😀
Anderson and barre neck and neck right through this album not to mention the irreplaceable Barrymore Barlow.. a tull classic.
Martin Barre has always been an underrated guitarist for some reason....
@@electricfetus100 not popular in the sense that for instance Brian may or Eric Clapton are but tull were never a household name .
More of an eletest or musicians band.

Still their best album!!!!!💕💕💕💕
I just love Ian when he sings about
Gazing down upon the smiling faces
It sounds like fecaes
28:49 Note 1 : Rollng Stones magazine ""The fact that Ian Anderson and the lads have once again plundered the British secular music tradition signifies little and delivers less".
Note 2: I don´t care
Rolling Stone's people have always been, and still are, a bunch of assholes.
@@ronaldelliott4373 Tull's best band ever. R.Stones people's opinion is meaningless
Really appalling, as usual. RS should issue an official apology to all bands they ever foolishly knocked and whose astounding music, in hindsight, manifested one of the greatest creative moments in rock history.
@davidmarshall7752 I agree with you, but real music fans don't give a damn about what Rolling Stone has to say in their magazine.
Thanks!!!!
God bless ya back Pat !!!! JT was certainly different but great nonetheless !
Ministrel, thick as a brick and Aqualung are my Favourites......

Masterpiece!!!!.
Oispa takavuosien Sputnik. Ja ilman ristoriitoja
La esencia misma de Jethro Tull
I believe this was Jeffery’s last record as a member of the band in his Zebra zoot suit. Oh, great album by the way. Ian’s voice is at his peak. I’m just a Baker St. Muse.🎶
Excelente álbum.
Caramba que álbun f........
Epic!
at about 15:00 there is a lengthy passage I am totally unfamiliar with. It is also pretty fantastic. I thought I'd heard it all.
I still can't make sense of one white duck. I bought this recored at 15, I'm 65 now and still can't figure it out.
Bellissimo

Masterpiace!
15:22 perfect delay tempo
first album of JTull I ever heard, 1970 sitting in my brother's car at 5AM
Had y'all fired one upper yet?
DUDE!! The album was released in 1975. I paid $5.77 on sale. You must have been really buzzed :)
Me gusta tu musica
Three Russell's on hallows eve.
Thumbs down ? Still drawing
Lyrical content of Ian Anderson with his wit and wisdom and humor and the way his music is s mixture of acoustic and electric guitar with a tapestry of key board sounds while bass guitar and drums hold together the foundation of melodic rhythm and tempo and I don't know in their in yhe
I don't know if their in the rock and roll Hall of fame but they definitely deserve to be............?!
