Our family used to do puzzles and there was always one on a piece of wood somewhere in the house and when we were done, my dad would frame it up and put shellac on it and put it on the wall because it was the 70s and that was Art. we had all kinds of different puzzles funny ones or beautiful ones or animals, whatever -and we always bought them with the idea that they were going to be on a wall somewhere. I definitely have a very positive association with puzzles.

My go-to sandwich for summer is a Roma tomato, a hard boiled egg, Lettuce, & honey mustard or hummus on homemade bread. Delicious & cheap. We save $$ by going to the movies on Tuesdays. Here they have $5 Tuesdays w popcorn. You can get puzzles for next to nothing at estate sales or on Marketplace. Have a great week! Btw, I still really love the song you use at the end of your videos. I find myself singing it until the end of the video which is awesome and inspiring.

Just so you know a summer staple is wine ripened tomato (never been refrigerated) and mayo on bread with salt and pepper. Maybe if you need fancier then try everything bagel seasoning. We invested in kayaks & have enjoyed hours of entertainment from them. Some other free/inexpensive entertainment I love are hiking, biking, reading, board games. There are several towns that offer free concerts or music in parks or gardens. Our libraries carry state park passes. They have backpacks for children to check out with activities. I checked out a star gazing backpack for my nephews and nieces. Our library also has some board games. We also go on shorter vacations close to home & tent camp a lot. It's a lot of fun and quite a bit cheaper than a motel. I never thought to look for puzzles there. My mom will love that tip.

We don't do TV at all - got rid of our TV some 15 years ago and haven't missed a thing. So logically no subscriptions here. We play board games or read instead.
When it comes to puzzles: the Dollar Tree ones are usually really cheap, just like the ones from Temu. Poor fitting parts. Here's a tip for great quality and very affordable jigsaw puzzles: head over to your local thrift store. All of our goodwill stores in the area have tons of puzzles from name brands like Ravensburger and they're usually 2 or 3 bucks. We just donate them back to goodwill when we're done with them.

Good morning Michelle, yes, I love that Trader Joe's hummus too. We grow lettuce and romaine in planter boxes outside, right now I am overwhelmed by the amount of lettuce, mostly red and green leaf lettuce. We are having salad today with pizza and then my granddaughter and husband are coming over tomorrow so planning on using a lot then. Sandwiches are great during the summer and your curry chick pea looks delicious. And yes, romaine lettuce is really sturdy and lasts quite a while, thats why I love that the most. Also I went to the dollar tree last week, I really like going down the aisles one by one, you really get a variety of stuff to look at, I never leave empty handed. A lot of people share what they find there, I get a lot of ideas. Of course some of the things are not at my dollar tree, but you have to love the prices. Have a great week, I will also be making that chickpea sandwich. 😋

In 🇦🇺Australia our local libraries have books, puzzles and often online support, very helpful. Other services often include bus times and free movies etc for children 😋
We also have toy libraries which can save families heaps of money.
Sandwiches is something I grew up on and zero complaints ✔️, just the ingredients are now a lot more varied-yippee 👍
    Good video

Ohh, i haven't done puzzles in ages. I always give up😅. But it looked really relaxing, I might try it out again. As many have suggested here, the library is amazing for free entertainment. Books, magazines, movies, music and lots more! I also like to pick up puzzles and board games in the thrift store. Quite often it's never been used. Makes great gifts! The sandwiches looked amazing, i will try the curried chickpeas, yum!
