  • Hello everyone! I am finally back!
    And today we tackle all sorts of clipping issues people have and how to fix them. This video covers clothes clipping, eye clipping, mouth clipping and hair clipping!
    A big thank you to Argama Witch and her clipping tutorials on Twitter, as these helped me a lot to create this video. :)

      Awn, that really means a lot to me. :)
      (given that I was still joking last year with a friend about all of this xD)
      I am really proud of the progress I made this last year on the channel and I hope I can provide even more tutorials upfront for all the new software and tips and tricks I learn along the way.
      Thank you for being a part of this!

    for the eyes clipping you can always use the "happy" expression but only on the eyes!

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  Před rokem

      Yeah, there are multiple ways to fix this. :)
      If the happy expression works for you, that is awesome!
      (I will try that on my next model too ^^)

    Does anyone know why the Vroid model always has weird/lower quality outline and shading in unity? Is there a way to fix harsh lighting and the 'dotted' outline?

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  Před rokem +1

      You can remove the outline and the lighting in Vroid directly.
      It's under the last option on the top left, from the main categories.
      (like hair, outfit etc.)

    MY GIRL ASKA coming through with this. I was overthinking it, thinking I needed to add collision to the vroid clothing in unity to stop the clipping! By the way, is there a way to do that with Vroid's specifi clothing?

    it says i need to use a 2019 version of unity to be able to use model in vseeface D: WHY this not mentioned in video

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Because for all the things mentioned, you don't need the 2019 version....ONLY if you export as a vsfavatar AFTER, but for non of the things mentioned here is this a necessity.
      So in the case you did all of the stuff mentioned AND then added some animations and exported as a vsfavatar over the SDK plugin, THEN you would need the 2019 version...but the video isn't about that, so it's not mentioned.
      Let me tell you a workaround though.
      You do all the things mentioned in the video here (if you like) or just the ones you need and export your avatar as a vrm, as usual.
      Then after, with this vrm, in version 2019.4.31f1 you do all the animations and MultiToon changes (or whatever you need the SDK plugin for) and export over SDK as a vsfavatar.
      There is unfortunately not any other way to do it, since the Unity versions required all have different functionalities.
      For example, if you were to do the hair clipping and tried it in the 2019 version, you could see that these little balls on the hair wouldn't show up, because it's a function that was only introduced in later versions.

    Interesting, my hair doesn't seem to have springbones, even tho i have set them up in vroid, and i do have VRM0 updated, what could be the case for this?

    • @LadyAska
      @LadyAska  Před 10 měsíci +1

      The Unity version is super important here, because if you don't see these springbones, there is a high chance the version of Unity is just too old (if you didn't use the one recommended in the video) :)
      You will have springbones all the same if they were set up in Vroid, they just won't show up visibly.
      You can check that on secondary and if you have the "hair" show up on the list, you should have the springbones (if they show up on the left in your root as well, even more so)
      Then it's just the "visual", that isn't appearing for you. (and that is either because the gizmo for it is turned off or the version of Unity is too old)
