    Good afternoon, I really like your videos. I train my son with your videos, but my son is left-handed. There would be some possibility that he could also do his training on both sides to see it better.

    • @zaskarclf
      @zaskarclf Před rokem +12

      Just have him do them the same exact way. Techique is always the same, just inverse for the other side He should be practicing every drill on both sides, even his right (weak hand). All drills are difficult at first on the weak hand, but overtime, you'd be amazed at what our bodies and brain are capable of. Day 1 he will miss a lot, but if he keeps at it, his brain and body will figure it out and eventually he will be able to use his right. He needs patience and some focus though to become more conciuosly aware of his body as he drills.

      Yes, he should always practice layup and floaters on both sides with both hands

    If I may ask, why is it important to finish same foot same hand? Asking for a friend...

    • @nel8783
      @nel8783 Před rokem +4

      Same foot-same hand finishes are deceptive. Most players are used to seeing the right foot, left foot right knee up when going right, and vice versa when going left. Because of this, defenders can time the rhythm of this footwork and contest shots. When utilizing same hand-same foot finishes though, your not taking that extra step at the end. This throughs off the timing off defenders looking to contest shots. Also, every same hand-same foot finish is done without gathering the ball with two hands. This also serves to through defenders timing off.

    • @nel8783
      @nel8783 Před rokem +1

      Correction… almost every same hand-same foot finish is done with out gathering with two hands.

      I show this same foot same hand layup to kids that I train. I use it against shot blockers. Normally they are watching your feet to try and time the jump. If you go off the same foot with same hand it throws off the timing.

    • @michaelphenizee280
      @michaelphenizee280 Před 29 dny

      ? I was classified as a shock blocker and there's no foot watching. Actually, it would be harder to block someone doing a traditional style layup being as though that off leg serves as a physical barrier between myself and the ball. Also, it's easy to finish traditionally without a two-hand gather if that's what you train. But to each his own.

      It’s good to practice awkward situations, or different timed and looking finishes if you want to be an effective scorer.

    I had a hard time seeing the difference between the euro and the veer

    • @kelceyrobinson142
      @kelceyrobinson142 Před rokem +1

      From what I see. On the veer, you are trying to bump into the defender and create space or draw a foul, on the euro you are trying to avoid the contact and get around the defender (like if they try to set a charge or something)

  • @LaMar34_34

    Why same foot same hand?
