Face ID Is Not Available on iPhone X/XS/XS Max/XR? Here's The Real Fix.
Face ID lets you securely unlock your iPhone, authenticate purchases and sign in to apps all with just a glance. However, due to the vulnerability of the Face ID parts, it can be easily damaged when iPhone X is dropped or during screen replacement, which will result in Face ID failure. Don't worry. My Face ID works, then after 2 or 3 days stops working, then works again, and it’s just annoying having to set it up so much
JUS24TIN I found out what it was (ish) I think it’s a faulty wire, cause when the Face ID stops working I just hit the back of my phone repeatedly and then it starts working

Aki shaikh I have figured out a strange solution for me, when it doesn’t work it bang my phone, I lightly punch it (make sure you have a cover on) and then it works, I think the Face ID wire in my phone is loose and I have to bang it into place
I merely just restarted my phone and Portrait mode and Face ID started working again. Try this first. It might not work for all.
Why doesn't REWA develop flex repair tape? a transparent tape that simply has the tinned wires/traces which you can carefully place over (should be easy if its transparent.... apply some heat and bridge the gap? I'm sure the repair community would appreciate this for flex cable repair.
They would have to make different tapes with different pitches.
If all cables inside the iphone have the same pitch then its doable but if its different then probably not feasable to manufacture as the cost of buying/repairing a flex cable to probably cheaper.
Rajat Dixit I wouldn’t expect it to be dirt cheap... but many would pay for it. In fact they could trial it and I doubt it’d require any massive research and engineering/development... I’d expect it to be pretty simple and cost effect to manufacture.
Because it got many place to develop flex.. to complicate ..because we know there a problem but there are many problem also ..

You can’t replace the Face ID system with another one. The Hardware is encrypted into the phone’s data. If there’s physical damage, you can get a repair technician to fix it

I can verify the IR camera still works. I have an ir camera that can still see the light. There’s also no visible damage that I can see
guys my iphone x had a water damage, but my front camera works normal, but and i try to configure my face id, my iphone didn't reconize my face position, my iphone show a message to put the iphone litte higher and after little lower, after few tries it show me the message "Face Id not available", i know itsn't your work, but a need to know, I can fix my iphone without apple?

If you have screen protector just remove it and reset your Face ID it will work 💯 % I solve many Face ID’s do it I guaranty you guys
you saved my day. I was about to send my phone in for repair, read your comment, replace the old screen protector and voila it works! I hope it is as simple as this for other people but I guess it depends, I dropped my phone here and there so I thought it was internal damage or something.

Dude I had the same problem with the iPhone x I took a refurbished used grade A after a day it never worked then I found out why .. I went to the Apple store and they told me that the display was not original !!! in fact the blacks were gray like lps so a rip off

Face ID can be easily damaged by water-damage or heavy falling.

The whole faceID-unit is tied to the motherboard, so only Apple can replace it.

Hi, for front camera can use not original, while the other parts like dot projector and flood illuminator module should be original.
Cheaper to just buy a NEW part, esp when one considers the cost of your TIME... and the cost of "what if it doesn't work?" after doing all this DIY

Unclip and reclip the connectors is your best bet

To make the repair simple... just find, and order a brand new Face ID module... It's more easy, and u don't have to do all the procedures from video...
iTom exactly what you can’t do, it’s married to the logic board and this is why the original hardware is so important to physically repair
Again, you cannot use any other parts because it cannot be reprogrammed
