That is exactly why I put the engine in from the bottom, well atleast you had extra pair of hands.
I think he was having issues with the way he did it. I bolt the mount loosely to the t bracket in the rear and put it in from up top. It's usually a pretty easy process
Man the h22 looks great in the bay.
As always great explanation and content.. Never disappoint. Looks like it will be a fun car when completed.
Nice to see the engine get placed in
I have had a 1990 accord EX for 15 years. I bought it from the original owner and I still marvel at how fun it is to drive. It just feels connected to the ground. Your build looks awesome. I wish I had the know how to do a swap like yours. That extra HP will be so nice.
I've never done a swap but there's plenty of info on CZcams. I'm confident I could do it. I might take me a week to get ALL the details right. But she'd be in and mounted in just a few hours
I’m gonna try to swap mine this year, I’ll be rewatching all these videos. Thank you for the documenting the process 🙌🏽🙌🏽
A lot of work but great job and please have some anti theft protection on it coz they are 2 ez to Staal my 90 accord got stole in less than a minute when I went to grab food from restaurant
I NEED HELP LOOKING FOR THIS ENGINE. LOVE your videos. As a 2 cb7s owner, you have been the only videos ive been watching for the pass 2 days. lol Im following every step you shown. and will be continueing so until i finish 1 of 2 of mines.
I love the way your videos are setup! Very simple and good angles 👍🏻
It's a little more work, but if u drop the front subframe and install motor from the bottom.
It will go in like butter.
Good job KG! 👍🏼
Nice car ❤️
Do you have the link on where you got them motor mounts?
sure thing... www.ebay.com/itm/164402438100
Would make more power with a turbo f22 just saying. I had one for 7 years with a eclipse turbo system running hondata at 14 lbs and smoked everything.
Thanks for the info. None of us knew that.
Just sayin'.
I have a 95 ex trans, what axles will i need to use? I read that the passenger side are the same, but specs on the cb7 axles are about 1/2~ inch shorter than 95 axles?....
I read somewhere on cb7 forums about drilling and re welding the bracket for the transmission mount to attach to. By using the innovative/hasport mounts bypass needing to do so?
If using a regular transmission mount then yes the metal bracket needs relocating. This is a special offset bracket requiring no cutting/welding.
For the rear mount why didnt you use the inovative
Innovative were junk - drivers side was welded crooked and after multiple attempts at reaching customer service, went with Haasport wherever I could.
Great videos. How are the vibration levels with the Hasport and innovative mount combo?
At idle its very noticeable with the steering column and rear view mirror. But its fine for my liking.
Wow this makes me want to do something like this! So did you basically use all the prelude parts and did everything go straight in? ECU, Trans, axles, etc.??
re-used CB7 engine harness, CB7 axles, custom mounts and a few other tidbits. It gets quite involved and I tried to cover it all with the video series.
@@randomrebuilds thank you! Great videos, salute to your build!
hi i was wondering if you could give me the specification of this bolt 90397-s5A-000 the one that goes on the left engine mount?
The bolt that goes through the engine mount and threads into the body of the motor mount slot?
This looks extremely difficult. Do you think it’s possible or easier to put it in from underneath. Thanks
Its been known to be easier to pull up from underneath. you will need either a car lift or to get the front end up high enough where you can pull it upwards. The hardest part it angling the engine and lining up that first mount. Once the rear mount is on, it goes a lot easier.
Awesome thanks bud
What powersteering pump did you use for this?
H22 Prelude. F22 pump/bracket would not work for hood clearances.
Hey man I’ve been waiting ur videos ! Love them. Could I get ur Facebook name
