    Stockholm Metro is in the field length as a summary of the 22nd place among the world's subways.
    It has a track length of just over 105 km in three lines (green, red and blue) and 100 stations.
    The number of passengers is about 303 million per year (2007), which according to the same measurement is 34th place in the world. It is therefore one of the largest in proportion to the population of the city it serves. The number of passengers is about the same as all other rail traffic in Sweden together (179 million railway, tramway 130 million).
    Metro is owned by Stockholm Transport (SL), the county council-owned company in the county. Traffic is tender procured and operated since 2 November 2009 by the Hong Kong firm MTR.
