Superjoint Ritual - Headbangers Ball @ The New England Metal & Hardcore Fest.17/05/2003 Hank III, Phil Anselmo and Joe Fazzio Interviewed by Rob Zombie
Joe is beastly on the skins. Very powerful drummer. My old band Apostasy practiced next door to his old band Stressball for a year or two. We became great friends & played some killer shows together. First time I met him was on a night when Stressball was working on what was a new song at the time: "Column". His playing was so tight & he was so driven/determined, I was blown away. If you're interested in hearing demos of that material, I have it here on my page. Cheers to both of you! czcams.com/video/DUi5Acde9xA/video.html
I love his drumming! Powerfull, not exaggerated, to the point one of my greatest influences in my drumming. Absolutely underrated and I don‘t unterstand why.
His drumming was always awesome…I think it’s more so the PRODUCTION and the TONE of his Kit!!! Super tight snare, Bass drum always had a nice firm thump…. Part of the reason the new SJR material didn’t resonate was due to production and drum sound.
Superjoint was fucking awesome. I don't give a fuck how high Phil was and it didn't matter when each record was released. Down is great.Down is it's own band as we all know right now. Superjoint had to happen. After reading up to when Superjoint came out,it was everything I had read about Phil. He loved weed, hardcore, punk, thrashmetal, death and any other good metal genre out there. I'm no stalker,I've never met the dude. But he puts out some of the most killer music. I loved Christ Inversion.
I actually looked it up right after, They were good friends as early as the 90's and Dimebag was even wearing a White Zombie shirt in the Walk video \m/
"Robert, you're gonna make me pull some things outta the hat that you dont, ever want me pulling outta the hat" I'll bet my last red cent that the War of the Gargantuas tour in 96 alone would be the primary source of Phil's dirt on Rob 😂
November 11th there coming out with "caught up in the gears of application" finally after I been waiting since 2003 when A Lethal Dose came out....thank god there back together.
He lost his home that he was renting which had his recording studio and hasn't made a record or toured since, I know he did backing vocals on a devildriver cover of his song country heroes in 2018 other than that he hasn't done much
Collin Holdfield SJR had a contract, very much like Pantera to do a certain amount of records, 3 records. They only did two and since he tried to continue under the same name, he got sued for royalties. Thats it so now their called Simply Superjoint, dropped the ritual
@@matthewholda6402 the beef was way before that though. Way before he brought superjoint back. He was sued right before dimebags death. Therefore he put the band to bed right around then.
Am I the only person who loves Fazzio's drumming?? He's a fukn machine
no, you are not the only one men, god no

I mean Pantera and White Zombie toured together twice that I know of.
Phil's greatest years imo
Never thought I'd see Hank 3 and Rob Zombie in the same video
I actually looked it up right after, They were good friends as early as the 90's and Dimebag was even wearing a White Zombie shirt in the Walk video \m/

Just a lot of testosterone in the air so kinda undercutting eachother
I REEAALLYY want to see the episode that Superjoint hosted in 2004.

Okay interview. It would of been better if Rob Zombie didn't interupt Phil when he was speaking. Big mouth!!

That's what I'd like to know. Joe should've kept his damn mouth shut. He ain't even close to being on equal footing.

What exactly happened between Phil and Joe Fazzio?..
Collin Holdfield Joe tried or did sue Phil for royalties regarding sjr songs
