Sanguinius and Ferrus Manus are both capable of being revived, but only if the emperor himself had the ability to craft him a new body and shit. It isn’t like guilleman being revived after Morty gave him magic AIDS, Sangy has no body to hold his spirit and if the lore is to be trusted, has had his soul shattered in a Similar way to Magnus. Parts of him exist in different places and unless they could all be gathered, any attempt to bring him back would only end with a semi whole primarch. He also has his own thing going with the Angels of Baal, the Sanginour and Mephiston.
Sanguinius will return eventually but I think he will become a warp deity similar to how the emperor is starting to be. I mean, guilliman is the coolest primarch and the most developed that's for sure.
He's so human, yet so divine, he understands his father and doesn't follow him because of blind loyalty but because he shares the emperor's vision, guilliman is the most incorruptible son not because of any superpower or because he's incredibly loyal, but because he inherited the will of the emperor, despite knowing that the emperor doesn't care about him as a son, at least not anymore.
Arguably, guilliman and malcador are the only genuine servants of the emperor as a man, not a father nor a god.
All the other loyalists are such because they followed their father, not because they themselves agreed with his vision, even the khan stayed loyal because it was logical, not because he believes in the emp's dream.
Guilliman is in my opinion the son closes to the emperor himself, at least the emperor before he became a warp god.

GW has always been amazing at making such a huge, galaxy spanning story seem so small and insignificant. the fact that theres only about 1 million space marines in total, means the most powerful and destructive army that the imperium has access to, in order to defend themselves against literal quadrillions of deamons, tyranids, orks, necrons etc, is smaller than the population of hawaii. Plot armour is the only thing stopping the imperium from being completely wiped out in a matter of days. any one of the aforementioned armies could just wave spam the imperium until everyone is dead, without even noticing a loss in their own numbers.

They're there just to respond to threats that are properly suited for what are essentially demi-demi-gods (if that makes sense). I've been into 40k since about 2003, if my memory is good, so I remember the days when Matt Ward, our Spiritual Liege, was a big topic, and a fair problem. It just wasn't fun to be an Ultramarines fan, because everyone hated him, them, and more. You could mention how it was just making the Vanilla Marines more like the f-ing Space Wolves, the Blood Angels, or any other "chapter" that was so Mary Sue they earned their own special codex, filled with gear no other group could use, which they used in battles they never lost, but it didn't matter; that wad Space Wolves/Blood Angels territory, and the Ultramarines needed to remember their place, as just another chapter among the SM codex, and the ones you picked because you didn't know how you wanted to play. Where I'm going with this fanboy whine is Guilliman. For so long, he was just a meme; the Primarch who wasn't special, who every player hated, unless they were Wardian sycophants, and he was arrogant, yada yada yada. I'm really glad that, in my opinion, at least, since his return, GW has actually handled Guilliman pretty well. He's NOT arrogant, or a double. He can have trouble working with others who lack his abilities, or experience, but he's stayed pretty humble, and a good leader. He's not just a wank fest for Ultramarines players, but he's not just anyone, either. For a demigod, he's even somewhat relatable, or at least he knows how to wear that face well. He's a power players can use, and field, but he's not an auto-include, and even in lore, he's important, but he's not completely overshadowing. I'm looking forward to Lion el'Jonson, Lemans Russ, or Jagahti Khan returning, if even just to give Guilliman a leg up, and someone else to handle Nihilus, but I'm glad Guilliman came back first, and that GW gas handled him as well as they have.

After GW hinting at the return of The Lion since second edition when the Primarchs effectively became what we know today. Decades waiting for your glorious mained space knight to return and then geedubs drop the blue boy instead. That must have sucked. I say this as someone who's first army was Ultrasmurfs.

Maybe GW writes the Story, that the Imperium is able to weaken the big Rift, stabilize the Milky Way Galaxy to a fair degree, just to find out that they are realy sorrounded by the Bugs of Death.
Then the great Nom Nom Time will come, and maybe the Imperium is forced to Team up with a lot of Xenox in Order to Survive. Same goes for the Xenos, realising that nobody could handle this threat on his own. Uhhhh Booooii another great Herersy Time. Now the Imperium will be splitt again, those who recognize the need of an Alliance with Xenos, and the Hardliners who will basicly fuck it all up. Ya´ll know half of the Imperium just being Imperisch. ((just some thugts, but I would like this turn of events))

@@gustavoritter7321 Maybe, that´s what I love so much about WH40K and it´s Lore. Anything is possible. But to a certain degree even the Necron Lord who HATES the Nids, already admitet to himself that this might be a threat even he can´t handle alone.
It would realy fit, that the Imperium makes a "Time limited" Alliance with the Necrons. Espacially the Blood Angels could have an interest in that. The whole "How do you get our Primarchs Mask" thing. I´m realy keen to see/read what´s coming.

@@ragnarx88 Well the Necrons are already OP as is and with the Silent King back reawakening them in mass, I think they will be able to stave off the nids, yes, in alliance with the Imperium, perhaps for enough time to the Hive Mind to simply give up on the Milky Way and go to the next galaxy. After all it is already implied that the nids may have been defeated in another galaxy. Besides, the Necrons in full strength are basically billions of individual gods. Remember that they genocided the almighty Old Ones, drove Warp insane, shattered their own gods into pokeballs and gave the Aeldari and their gods as well as the Krorks huge ass whooppings. They are in many ways the true protagonists of Warhammer 40k. The one who set it all in motion.

Question: If even the secretive Grey Knights joined the Indomitus Crusade. Doesnt that mean after that all the Guardsmen that witnessed the Grey Knights, had to be killed ? Or did the grey knights join a fleet without guardsmen ? I remember the story were the Space Wolves had to protect many civilians just because they saw a little glimpse of those grey baddies.
