  • We have started hauling something new, this was only my 3rd load of it, and I still haven't quite figured it out! I'm learning as I go and making this video has helped me learn somethings as well!
    I hit over 1 million views on my channel and I'm super happy about that!
    Thanks everyone for all the support, I really appreciate it !

    I just use a 2 foot piece of old tarp or poly. I shovel about 6 feet of floor clear as soon as the load moves away from the front wall. Lay the tarp down and shovel product on top evenly, make sure there aren't any lumps on it, that will make it walk crooked. Also, get yourself a plastic snow pusher, they work better on the aluminum floor. I just follow along behind the tarp and shovel the corners on as it goes. I use a cheap wood handled windshield snow brush to clean off the rear bumper.

  • @rpneff936
    @rpneff936 Před 3 lety +4

    Pull your sweep tarp out before you loading make sure it's flat and completely semetrical with the sides and it'll push 98% of any product out then roll it back in to finish sweep.....we run floors and belts and I personally will take a belt anyday....if they are poly lined there is NO cleanup other than taking a Milwaukee leaf blower and blowing the dust off....BUT you loose some cubic yards with the slants.

    Hey Steve I run a walking floor all day every day an we use a sweep rag which is like the red one but we put it out when we load so that it has weight on it. But our sweep rag is loose, it's the width of the trailer an shiny 10ft long an we just throw half of it up the trailer up front.

    Leaving it on the truck overnight may have attributed to it sticking. We used to get that for the cattle when I was a kid, they came about 2-3 am, often the driver smelled like he waited till closing time to bring the load out. I used a barn scraper and would jump in the truck after they dumped to get the last of it. It was pretty easy work at 14 but not something I want to try now. Stay safe.

It takes me an hour and gotta run the floor twice. I charge my boss $15 extra for WF loads with the walking floor. He fights me on it every time but I never cave. Very nice trailer tho dude!

    Ran walking floors and belt trailers for yrs.Always double check your sweeper tarp, halfway up the nose and neatly spread it out on the floor. Make sure the loader drops your first bucket 3’ back from the nose, that way it reduces the chances of knocking it down.
    By the way, if that were in a belt trailer, there’s a good chance it would it would tunnel. And that my friend sucks ass!! Good job bud!! Looking forward to more.

    i like all your multi angle shots. I used to haul brewers grain out of Miller Brewery for Pillsbury, once had a very wet load and had to come to abrupt stop. Being that i was pulling an end dump, the wet grain came rushing out the trailer, over cab, and onto the cars. It was a freakn mess. Normally the grain is just moist but too moist that day
