At this level. Every player has the athleticism to cover the whole court. The only ways to score against your opponent is by overcoming their reaction with sheer power speed or simply wrong footing them. TZY’s technique is so mature she postpones or changes her strike posture right to the last split second and leaves her opponent in no man’s land every time. That’s ankle breakers for badminton.

Tai is simply the most exciting and artistic badminton player to watch. She just got to focus on improving on her consistency and reducing unforced errors. Her recent change of approach at the 2020 All England using a more defensive approach and attacking only when necessary is probably better for her results in the long term. She should continue to focus on consistency. Look at Novak Djokovic probably the most consistent player in tennis and he has the edge over the artistic Federer and athletic Nadal due to his consistency.

Does she know her faults and take positive action not to repeat them. if not corrected, it becomes a bad habit and will drag her down. Does her coach tolerate repeated mistakes. She could lose many points in a row with the same mistake of hitting out.
