YanDev seems to keep complaining a lot. I get it though Depression hurts I myself suffer from it but that doesn't mean he *or I* should post pitty videos. So in general he's pulling the *pitty card* to make people feel sorry for him & his struggles. I don't hate YanDev either but like you said, I just want him to complete the damn game as well even if its just a very long Demo. >:/

Hi Repzilla. I’m 15 and I have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I’ve been following yandere dev for 3 years. I liked the concept of the game, it was twisted and unique and he seemed like a chill dude. When all the exposing vids came out a few months ago I didn’t watch them because I just assumed it was drama. When the gremlin video came out it instantly rubbed me the wrong way. I could already tell it was manipulative so I decided to watch the videos made on him. Realising he had called people Autistic as an insult and using other words of that nature made me feel quite betrayed. (And obviously the other things that he did are much worse) I hope he can change his ways. Apologise and grow as a person. Thank you for reading this! I know it was long lol.

And yes he did some bad things and that is horrible but we all have done something bad or harmful things and no human on earth has hurt someone or said some mean things but has any human on this planet ever not done something bad unintentional or not. @@elviravazquez5558 the game wont grow though,its been in development for over 5 years and hasn't even gotten out of alpha. Everyone hes hired has been dumped for trying to better the game, he steals artwork. He refuses to update the engine it's running on because it causes bugs since his coding is so crappy. The game wont even run on 60 fps because of the code and he refuses to change it. He wont change , the game probably will never come out. Even if it does it will be so behind it will be unplayable unless he pulls a whole 180,changes his attitude, and learns to collab with better coders, out of the 60 something recorded volunteers only 3 have been paid and half of them arent even credited, he refuses to credit the people featured in his game. Hell never change,hes a horrible person, he overtakes from his fanbase and still wants more, nothing will ever be enough. Hes just milking the games popularity for money and probably will never release a functioning game featuring original work and assets.

What kills me is that I knew EvaXephon from back in the Gaia online days. Interacted with him more than once and remember telling friends that I felt he would he'd end up with a body count. Then I heard about Yandere Sim and didn't know it was him... it is like the first good idea he's ever had and he has no idea what makes it good. He's playing it 100 percent seriously when it should be a lampooning of tropes over a saccharine horror show. I'm still shocked at how many people are willing to give this guy a chance just because he has a good video game idea. It's as if him stating that he wants to kill his parents, playing rape games, writing rape stories, screaming at people to kill themselves, and calling them r*****s isn't enough to make them hate him when he continues to do and think these things. I'm gonna be honest, I used to think Yandere Dev was being honest about everything, so I thought he deserved more breaks than he gave himself. If I knew then what he actually did with the time he claimed he used to work on the game, I'd never have said that he deserved more breaks.
what bothers me about the video is how vague he is and how he doesn’t directly address the “lies” and “propaganda” people are saying about him. he said those things and still are saying them now without taking any blame at all which shows no change... and still not a single apology. 0 none nada. if he was specific about who or what he was talking about i would take it more seriously. it’s straight up playing the victim since he did not provide evidence for all the “torment” he’s been put thru.
He only addressed the game's development issues in the "What's going on with Yandere Simulator's development".
Things like the fan that has been told to kill themselves on stream were already solved privately, that doesn't need a video.
Anyway, such videos will stop being uploaded, so it's over.
So before Yandere Dev released his video, I had no idea on most the drama that had been happening. Generally I like to avoid drama, since I am a impressionable 13 year old kid who can be affected by said drama. Now, I am a Yandere Dev fan, I like his videos and am generally oblivious to said excuses. Now I'm not saying that I think he's the Lord Almighty that has never done any wrongs, I have known he has had drama, but not this bad. Now that I've seen your video, I have come to realize that the things Yandere Dev has done are much more than I thought. When I saw the video myself, I did feel bad for Yandere Dev, but when I read the comments, a lot of them were pointing out that the video was manipulative. I chose to ignore the comments. It wasn't until I saw your video I realised how oblivious I am. This comment is getting long, but long story short- As his fan I still like his content, but I also have been given a new perspective on him as a person. So thank you for helping me understand more of the story of what exactly was happening behind the scenes.

@@caitlynnwoods2143 i think by impressionable they mean that they could have their perception and opinions warped by things that may or may not end up being false. like when you hear rumors and gossip about someone and you base your first impression on that. but hearing an explanation on whats going on and taking that into consideration isn't debunking their point. it just means the source they hear from is something they consider reliable and should be thought about. to be impressionable is to easily allow things to influence how you feel. they were not easily influenced. they just considered repzilla's video and what he said and are now making their own opinion on the situation and gaining a better understanding of the situation.

One video just because a certain person made it does not make it immediately valid. Look at all the people who have tried to explain the situation already and some of them are miles off the point. Just because someone is balanced in an approach doesn't mean they are solid or correct.

@@LucaShutz There are many different things he's done, but, the ones that stood out to me as completely inhumane were how he wrote that absolutely vulgar fanfiction, as well as how he denied it when people called him out for it. There are also many different little things that stood out to me, like how he didn't credit artists, or how he's taking forever to finish the game in order to get more money from his fans. I'm honestly outraged at how he's trying to play the victim after doing all of these things.

It seems like they're using age or it being in the past as an excuse to wipe away everything he did or reduce the amount of impact or criticism it should have. Age doesn't excuse you from your mistakes. Yes, you can make stupid mistakes in your past, but you are not excused from criticism from them.
He has done things then, and he _still does things now_ that show no signs of major change or reflection. He isn't a monster, but he is nowhere near a neutral person that has not done wrong. He can take some L's; he's a big boy.

You can't expect people to adhere to some sort of timeslot of criticism; _"you can only criticize me this many days of the month and between these hours"._ That's not how it works. Hearing the same thing you did back then over and over when it's parallel to what you currently do make sense. He's been a poor developer and PR team for his own project, and he still is. Drawing connections from past to present actions isn't an invalid point.
I'm sure there are some stretches of logic from people (there always is) but that doesn't mean all connection are invalid. Not writing off what he does now as a mistake or a misstep, considering how openly bad he was about it earlier in his career, isn't a huge leap of logic. He never properly addresses it. People just want a genuine, no "under the table" BS apology and to see him to better. But, he genuinely hasn't. He doesn't need to have a timetable of when he can be criticized. Everyone gets criticized by their haters 24/7 on the internet; he gets no exception.
It sounds a lot like desperation to me. "I've made all these mistakes and people are starting to hate me for them how do I fix this? I know I'll find every excuse I can and run with it." Age is not a factor, it's maturity. Some people mature more quickly than others and I've known some 16 year olds who are far more mature than this guy. They recognize a mistake, apologize for it and then try to correct it as best they can. I will never understand how someone can be so apathetic to what they say and treat like it can be swept away because of extreme circumstances causing them to "lash out." I've lashed, and damaged friendships, but would apologize when given the chance and own up to the fact that I screwed up and need to work harder at controlling my anger and how I respond in it. I agree it's about inner narrative. You've taught me a lot about that and trying to change mine is how I push through my depression on really bad days. Keep doing what you're doing Rep. I appreciate it.
That is a good hint that he is suffering from major depression (anger issues, excuses when many people point fingers at you, bad responsibility).
He needs to get some help, that's the only reason he should tall about this stuff, then LATER work on the game.

It's narcissistic, violent, and toxic, and he talks himself into justifying all of it. He is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to correct it. We aren't seeing much result. This guy has no remorse for his actions, because he has justified them to himself.

It is his business, not ours so people should stop butting in to his personal life purely for views. It's wrong to do what he's doing for views - one of the people ruining a person for subs and views.

@@wewew6095 Funnily enough, the 'drama' was essentially gone when he showed that he was working on the game properly recently instead of wasting his time on twitch livestreams. Another youtuber who was previously criticizing him admitted this and was genuinely happy that he was making progress for the game. Then, the gremlin video happened which made everyone lose hope. So what I'm saying is, this 'drama' that he is addressing is now brought back to the surface thanks to himself. Like Repzilla said, there are stalkers but the issue is that for one, he should have rather reported to the authorities rather than make a video on it and two, he's gelling the people who just criticize him and the malevolent stalkers together which is honestly very backhanded and hurting people that genuinely support the game. The assets were not only from the unity store but he also used assets from other people without their permission and only changed them if the creators confronted him about it and he's making profit off the game with Patreon.
And the issue is that, yes everyone has their flaws, but he's not admitting his on a genuine level and are just excuses so everyone can look past them so that he doesn't have to change. Like Repzilla said, he was trying to make it sound like he says hurtful comments in the moment and regrets them, but he doesn't because he said himself that he meant it when he was cussing fans who only asked small questions and criticizers. Overall his behaviour is unacceptable because it's hurtful and wouldn't change, but it's not the same as saying that we don't believe he can change. Everyone was feeling hopeful at the spark of change and I really wish that the gremlin video was a lapse in judgment, but I can't, it's definitive proof that he simply wouldn't change, yet at least.

I believe that until people begin to acknowledge what they’ve done in the past and take responsibility to it, are they ever onto their path to being redeemable.
Usually, things aren’t forgotten to easily, especially when things are fresh and not that long ago, sure, things from years and years ago can be forgotten, but until someone takes responsibility and understands what they did will they be redeemed.
I don't think it's wrong for Yandere Dev to express how he feels things are for him. On one hand he's trying to remain professional and on the other he's had moments where he just couldn't maintain that. But I think what people are looking for is responsibility, not an apology. To say that "Yes I said those things, yeah I was really pissed off, but it's not ok and I will do better in the future to not say/do that again".
Even from a business perspective it's very important to establish mistakes or mishandling a situation and taking steps to make a better relationship with the customer.
I dunno about Yandere Simulator now. I didn't really mind the game but the fact that he said that people dug up his past when really he left those things up for the public and calls them gremlins that do that for fun. Some stumbled upon these things for a reason... Not for fun...

That's as far as I got in that video too. It was full of so much bs I couldn't stomach anymore. Yandev needs to stop being a slacker and finish his mediocre "v slice" already. I don't think it will happen though because Yandev is a con artist. He has this idea that people find joy and excitement in seeing him continue his negative behavior, but honestly? He's not *that* important. He's an independent developer with a controversial background, and that's it. No one would make him the target of their fun. He's just not that important.

Not everyone is a piece of shit. At least the bad things I've done I took full responsibility for and did everything I could to make things right. And I'm pretty sure most of the people "hating on" YanDev are in the same boat as me.
Yet another great video, Rep! :) Really appreciate it. When I started following Yandere Dev, I was just as old as most of the children he's manipulating right now, and I was just as naive. I promise you, I would have eaten up every word of his "Gremlin" video and bought every excuse when I was their age.

I'm just going to say right ahead that my position is fairly neutral as I believe that both parties are at fault in some aspects and in the right in others, so for that reason, I appreciate your civil tone and how you don't appear to have made this video with the purpose of encouraging a 'witch hunt' against Yandere Dev.
That being said, what did rub me kinda wrong is how you seem to invalidate the strong effects bullying can have on a person and how it is their fault for letting their bullies' behavior hurt them. The reason for this is that how 'resistant' to bullying a person is is often depends on a) for how long the bullying has been going on and b) how good their mental health is.
If a person is already depressed and 'on the ground', so to speak, the bullying is obviously going to affect them a lot more than the same kind of bullying/badmouthing will affect a healthy person and if said person's condition is bad enough, it's virtually impossible for them to just keep telling themselves that their bullies' actions don't matter.
Now, this is of course not to say that I condone Yandev's at times very disrespectful insults or that I believe that him being a victim of cyberbullying absolves him from taking responsibility for what he said, but a person (and yes, this definitely applies to YandereDev as well) should /never/ be blamed for their inability to brush off the actions of their bullies because the fault is with the people ganging up on and harassing others and not their target.
Totally agreeing with ya on this Rep! I used to support YandereDev but after discovering his past I really dont give a damn about his feeling if he cant give a damn about othes especially telling people to kill themselves I lost a friend to suicide and what he said to those people are horrible and that gremlin issue hes just making a persona for people who knows the truth about him
I definitely didn't know about a lot of this stuff, actually, I felt extremely bad for him after the gremlin video. Thank you for trying to inform his audience of his wrongdoing. It kinda makes me sick to think I supported someone like this for so long. Keep doing what you're doing.
I actually empathized with yandev in his "gremlins" video when I saw it the first time, so much so that I defended him. I was in a bubble, I got happy then he pinned my comment. I denied any drama because I couldn't take anymore then I already had had in the recent years privately. Only watching his CZcams and some yansim gameplay videos. I like to think all ppl have some good in em. But sometimes it hurts me to have that mindset. Today I'm thankful for my super curiosity to find out stuff "eventually".
