That is fantastic for a nature pond! Great to see you cover small ponds like this that many people either have or want. Thanks ☺️
Thanks for watching!
Just subscribed mate! Really like your channel, informative and no B.S 🙂 looking forward to more updates 👍🏼
Cheers Alex appreciate it! Yea loads to come, new channel so glad you like the vids 😎
Yep, totally agree 👍🏻
I have just bought the exact model but im wondering what type of fuse did you used for the plig connection.
Did you used a 3amp, 5amp or 12amp?
Hi. Thanks for video. Can I ask. I am doing a pond, similar in size to this one. It will have around d 8 small fish around 5-15cm. I will have a waterfall which I’m happy to have just a trickle about 12” above the water level. Would this all in one pump be adequate for that do you think
Good day mate, is there a switch for the led light. Cause i dont want it on in the day time??
Hello Mate, great upload , I have just installed one this weekend to run a waterfall and I have only powered up the pump cable as I don’t need the UV light as I already have one but the pump cable doesn’t have an earth wire only the UV cable which I haven’t plugged in , Is it ok to use like this , thanks Mick
If it la running as you have set it up it should be fine
What amp fuse do you use for the plug.
Nice work
Cheers
Do you supply a filter system for a larger pond?
Is this filter ok to use in a 100 litre pond. Its a tub pond and it just keeps going green so quickly and I think a UV bulb would help there are fish in it an it spend half the 1/3 in the sun in summer months. Just wondering if the pump would be too powerful because its only a small pond. Thanks
Should be fine on smaller ponds with low or no fish stocks
In the first minute of video I could tell this would have short, decent info. The only thing I need clarification on is the electrical supply. I’m in the U. S. where we have 110 or 220 plug in; can you describe how those 2 cable ends you show connect to power source? Thanks in advance.
Do both Transformers stay above water?
Hi in the uk you can put a standard plug on direct into mains or wire into a switch box cheers
Do both Transformers stay out of water? Ive had the pump one burn out within a few months from new. but kept both hung to a fence
Hi yes transformers out of the pond thnx for the comment
I've been searching CZcams and the internet for days for guidance on checking the uv light sleeve for water leaks. Can ANYONE help me with this? I am beyond frustrated with the lack of help from videos and manual produced by the company.
Probably not much on CZcams as not a common problem. It shouldn’t leak obviously, if under warranty contact who you bought it from? If not check the quartz sleeve (glass around the bulb) for cracks or replace the sealing ring…
I have the same pump and filter kit for a small duck pond. Will it clear the water up?
Probably not tbf ducks are really messy you may want something a little bit more beefy!
Hi, i have one of these pumps, how often generally would you wash and clean the filters in pond water, weekly, monthly or something else...thanks in advance....
Depend on fish stocks etc, perhaps every three to four weeks wash using pond water
@@thep0ndman thank you
I have the Aquagarden 5 in 1 200, but the blood worms keep clogging up the bell fountain nozzle on it. Any suggestions?? THanks for your channel!
Thanks for the comment. How much sediment is in your pond? If there is a fair bit it may be worth a good clean. Or you could change nozzle the the bell fountain, the gaps are bigger on the nozzle so it doesn’t block as much.
My inpond filter fills up very quickly with a muddy sludge that blocks the flow. At least once a week i have to wash the foams which is very annoying.
Hi the pond either needs cleaning or the filters too small cheers
@@thep0ndman The filter came with the blagdon affinity half moon pond . I was thinking i may need to clean the pond out as it’s not been done for about 2 and a half years since i replaced the liner.
Hi mate. I've got a large pond and I've just purchased a Blagdon Affinity pond. I was thinking about moving 4 small (5-7inch) koi into it. Would this filter cope or not? Thanks. Tom
Perhaps, use the bigger model and keep fish, feeding low to be fair cheers for comment
does the pump have enough power for a waterfall feature?
you can get a larger version which can pump external to a small feature cheers
I bought a 5W UVC lamp to add to my son's 2000 5 in 1 pump and found the transformer was getting warm. It is marked 12W on the transformer for a 5W UV lamp but I measured at the plug and it was using 50W. Wondering if this is normal or have I got a faulty unit.
It should be fine they can warm up. As long it’s working properly and doesn’t get really hot I would say it’s ok. Cheers for the comment
@@thep0ndman seems very inefficient to use 50W to power 5W light. I worked out that it would cost about £150 a year to run whereas at 12W would cost £35 a year. I dont suppose you know how much power your one is using?
Hi, great info. What is the size and depth of the small pond you feature. Thanks.
Not that deep about 1.5ft
Thanks for your speedy reply.
Have one similar not exactly the same one it started on a vary small pond my mother-in-law built 40 years ago 2023 and it has become my bio for my little bit bigger pond in the same location but 300 gallons more
sounds good
What is yours opinion on pre formed ponds? Thanks
They are abit of a pain to install and not flexible (excuse the pun) it’s difficult to dig the ground to the shape of the pond, for example if there is a void between the shelf and the pond, if you stood on the shelf for any reason you are relying on the strength of the pond to hold your weight as there is no support under it so it could easily crack etc. butyl liner all the way
Hi, new to your channel. I have a corner bath above ground with comet fish and plants, can you tell ne the suitable model I would need please, also could I plug it into an inside plug socket via window? Much love Ju xx
Hi Julie. Do you know how much water you have?
@@thep0ndman whatever a bog standard bath holds.
Hi, great vid! I was just wondering if there were any smaller models?
No the 2000 is the smallest. Thanks for the comment
Thanks for letting me know and the quick reply!
You can never have a filter that's too big. I always halve the litre rating that they say for the maximum pond rating.
Looking at its size compared to the size of his hands, it is pretty small.
Just my thoughts! 😉
What amp plugs did you use?
erm 13 i think prob too much, 5ap prob best
Great video. Does the LED light stays on 24h?
Is there a way to turn it off when desired? Many thanks
Thanks for the comment. The light comes on when the light levels drop. So it’s auto
@@thep0ndman top man. Thanks for your quick answer
Is there a suction effect on the top of the unit? Meaning could small turtles get stuck to the top?
