- Throw back! Free family activities to do at Disney's Animal Kingdom. We need Disney in our lives and because our Port Orleans trip was cancelled this week, we are counting on Disney vlogs to get us through this very weird time. We are throwing it back to some of our favorite vlogs! This week, we are throwing it back to our staycation at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We never left the resort and yet we stayed very busy with all the FREE activities this resort offered!

Zebra Dome Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound milk chocolate
¼ cup espresso coffee
5 egg yolks
¼ cup + 1 tablespoon sugar
6 sheets gelatin
½ cup Amarula Cream Liqueur
4 cups heavy cream
¾ cup white chocolate ganache
¼ cup dark chocolate ganache
sponge cake
Instructions
Melt milk chocolate.
Whip heavy cream to soft peaks.
Mix yolks with sugar.
Soften gelatin leaves in cold water.
Mix gelatin with Amarula Cream and coffee. Set bowl over hot water bath to dissolve the gelatin.
Fold 1/3 of whipped cream into the chocolate.
Add the yolks, then the gelatin mixture.
Fold in the rest of the cream.
Pour mousse in flexipan domes almost to the top.
Place sponge circle (1/4″ thick yellow cake cut in a circle) on top. Leave in the freezer to set.
Once hard, unmold and place in glazing racks.
Make white chocolate ganache and chocolate ganache.
Put chocolate ganache in a pastry bag. Ladle white chocolate ganache to cover each dome. Simultaneously, pipe a stripe design of chocolate ganache over the dome.
Refrigerate to allow the glaze to set.
Decorate the bottom edge with coffee crunch.
Place a chocolate covered coffee bean on the center of each dome.

There are so many great resorts we have not stayed at. Animal Kingdom Lodge really looks like a great place to stay. If only it were pet friendly too. At the moment the Fort seems to work best for us, but we have visited AKL and would love to stay there some day. So glad you guys had a great time. We were already subbed to you guys for a couple years from another channel, but just realized not from this channel, so we subbed today!

Ahhh!! Highlight for this video.... THE ZEBRA DOME RECIPE IN THE DESCRIPTION!! AHHHH!! THANKS!!! I'll have to try it out sometime..... y'know.... once I can get out and get proper ingredients and not just ramen and flavored tuna fish and multi-grain wheat flatbread... haha
I must say, though, I LOVE AKL!! Never stayed there but, there is SO much to do!! And it's just beautiful! Thanks for the visual reminders! Love it!
