Satan’s Counterfeits (Sermon Clip)

All around us are messages that will all boil down to either God’s truth-or counterfeits. The enemy’s weapon (Genesis 3) is always the distortion of God’s Word-did God really say?-and lure people to sin and rebellion, ultimately leading to destruction and death. However, our Lord Jesus Christ Himself points us first to Himself-the Truth incarnate-and through His encounter with the devil in the wilderness (Matthew 4), as to how He has stood against his schemes: by standing firm and feasting upon God’s Truth.
On this sermon slice from the vaults of SGE pulpit (Genesis series 2022), Ptr. Twister sheds light to what happened in the garden of Eden with our first parents, and how the enemy has tempted them into sinning against the Holy Creator. Ultimately, it is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself that stands firm in the Word and, in and through Him, models for us how to hold fast to it in grace and in worship.
