Whenever I see a sled sitting stored outside in the elements a tear runs down my cheek much like the Indian Chief from the commercial in the 1970s does when he sees litter. My first sled was an Elan single.
I was driving my 1972 elan with my dad on his 1978 , both twins , we were driving in some mountains in Nova Scotia and we had an awesome time , even tho my 1972 cab that didn't have a scratch in it cracked , overall elans are the best
Got a sweet Elan SS ive been wanting to rebuild. Little brotber popped the original 294cc twin. All I have is the 249cc. Someday ill rebuild the power house 294cc.

went in the back yard today and my 12 was under a foot of snow going to try and get it out tomorrow best part is i put a tarp over it the fall fingers crossed
Question I bought a 2002 polaris xc500 threw a rod 5 mins after getting home I have a 96 488 entire sled how hard will it be to throw the 488 into the 02? Any info will help

I've got a 77 Elan, she runs great and those things will most likely last a lifetime or more as you show them love and take care of them.

After 20 years in a box my elan engine 16 horsepower twin cylinder started on the second pull yeehaw
