CUT A SCHOREM CLASSIC: A Skin Faded Scumbag Boogie

- čas přidán 8. 09. 2024
- Since we hung the Signature Haircuts poster on the wall of @schorembarbier, the Scumbag Boogie has been the most requested cut. It’s the perfect modern classic for so many gentlemen - it can be dressed up or down, it’s easy to style, and it grows in effortlessly. We think it’s also because of the balance between today’s style and the sensibilities of yesteryear. It’s a classic haircut in every right - square, parted, and sweeping away from the face. But with a razor fade and asymmetry, this cut is brought into 2020 with attitude and style.
We did one tutorial on it with the DVD but we have had so many questions we shot a full length breakdown to answer them all. Watch and listen as @milkythebarber sections, fades, and contours this staple onto Martijn - one of the shop’s most loyal customers. Discover the method to his madness, or maybe the madness in his methods!

@@REUZEL what would be the best Reuzel for a greasy slickback?
Markus Mayr the green reuzel is the way to go man!
This dude knows his stuff. As an educator myself, I particularly enjoyed how he consistently explained the "why's" when your using just a few teeth on the the clippers and why you need to manintain an angle with the comb when fading. Bravo on this haircut. 100% thumbs up!
Jason cut my hair last year as I was passing through and it was the best barbershop experience I've ever had! He's truly a master of his craft and good guy! Hope to see him more on the channel!
I've passed my level 2 barbering, been cutting hair for a year now. Just signed up for level 3. Already using these tips from Schorem Barbers in my cuts and it's really helped. Cutting the style into the hair rather than cutting and then styling makes a difference. Would love to visit one day.
Wtf there is a person who talks more than the butcher 😂😂
I really appreciate the Jason's work! Good job man! 🤟🏿🤟🏿🤟🏿
Hahaha!
As a student this is super helpful. I'm taking classes through a Cosmetology school and none of the educators, except one, are barbers. They're all hairstylists. So CZcams videos are all I have to accurately learn mens cuts from. The school had us working bottom to top and it's difficult to get things even, too to bottom works better for me. So thank you for this video.
You ARE doing beauty school, which is more of the hairdressing side of the hair industry so I'd count yourself lucky you even have a barber in your school. Men's cuts aren't as prevalent as they are in a barbershop obviously, as a barbershop is geared more towards men.
But I'm coming from a similar place, I graduated in December and I love learning new cuts and styles.
This dude is actually amazing with explanation, and teaching! Thanks you so much!
Pas de scumbag boogie avant vos prières du soir !
Wow!!! You're the best, I've been doing hair for 26 years and this has to be the best tutorial! I wish I would've had an instructor like you back when I was learning to fade.
This video it's pure gold.......thank you to all who make these kind of videos possible and available to all, thank you Rob, Jason the camara man, the model etc etc.......from a barber in Mx, who love classic school........💈💈
Absolute Masterclass from Jason. Definetely want to see more from him. Fantastic Job
A master class! Hands down the best haircut tutorial to date.
Thank you so much for letting us know!
As a haircolorist I’m always wowed by great cutting. I just shared this Master Class with the whole salon. There is so much to unpack in this one video. Point cutting with clippers! Dealing with dips in the scull, using shears, blenders, and razor. Proper wetting, perfect parting, blow drying for max volume. And it’s an asymmetrical haircut. 🎉 your horn. - Timothy Burns, Santa Rosa CA
Man , this is the type of videos that prove, that the old saying "you just cut hair" is no longer the case.Respect milky
I have been binge watching Schorem videos and this is by far my favorite video! Hands up to Milky for such a master class!
Everytime i feel like losing my motivation in cutting hair , this is the video that i always go back to watch. Once the pandemic is over i cant wait to book for a course with Reuzel ♥️♥️
Hard parts aren't my jam, but the cut and style are 12 outta 10.
This is legitimately the best tutorial I’ve ever seen... I love how he doesn’t just tell you the what’s but goes into the why’s. Awesome job.
so glad this video is back online! I'm pretty sure it was taken down for a while and it is such a good one to come back to - at least until I come over and learn it first hand from the master!
Hogyeah, thank you so much! See you in Rotterdam at The Old School! 🤘😎
Love it! This guy is an excellent teacher. I hope he gets to do more of these tutorials!
thats one hell of a barber! he hit them with that NYC blurry fade. yaaasss!
I always come back to get a refresher. These videos made no sense in barber school. But now, are clear as day with my fundamentals 💪🏽 love it.
Maybe it's fun to do a refresher in Rotterdam at The Old School?! 😉✌️

Thank you so much Scott, stay tuned for much more! 💪🤠
I just watched 1 hour video of cutting hair. When pandemic is over Im taking plane from Poland and go to this barbershop!
It's been 2 years! Have you done it?
@@Faileduserattempt lol, no 😁
Planning a vacation in February and with any luck I’ll be able to get an appointment for this exact cut. Always awesome watching you guys work and/or explain technique. Been thinking about changing industries for years especially after watching your guys’ videos. Just received my re-up of pomades, tonics and tshirts, as always extremely pleased. Greeting from Cali
Badass cut!! He did a excellent job explaining his self throughout the whole hair cut also
Jason, you rock as an educator. Very nice tutorial and this shape you created is stellar! Thanks a million for sharing your awesome talents.
Amazing. Another masterclass in expert barbering.
Hogyeah, thank you so much, Milky does an awesome job right!? 💪🤠
I thought I knew Alot about barbering until Jason did this video!! Great stuff
Thank you!
Fantastic lesson.. Cheers mate. Keep em comin! Been loving your guys work since hair school, been using the products over 8 years now.. Wish your instruction could've been there then. I'd love to see this (and all future tutorials) uploaded in a higher res boys!!
Seriously the BEST video I've seen. Thanks for such an incredible explanation! So many incredible tips and techniques!
Bertus... Jason was born to teach. Pleaseeeeeeeee do more videos with Jason. Simply put. It's his calling.
Damn Jason I really like how this cut turned out and how easy but detailed you’re able to explain what it is you’re doing and why. Makes me want to give those details some extra focus while doing my next haircut! Chapeaux!
Outstanding cut. My faded portion might be close to yours in terms of definition, but man, the scissor work and details are something I've never seen before. It really does seem to add some magic to the cut. It's also refreshing because so many newer barbers are clipper jockeys and have no scissor game. Very motivating, awesome work! Thanks for the video
It is really impossible to not give a like in this video !
What i like with schorem is they know the shape.. love it ❤
I see Laurence in the back that dude is one of my hair heroes
He is ours too!
Your friend is really right. You are very good at explaining. You have the gift of a teacher. Thank you for the class.
Wow! Incredible video! I learned so much! Incredible instruction. Thank you very much!!!!
Yes finally someone that can also do some nice fading instead of just only good scissor work and messing up the fade
Love the vibes you guys give for free! Great service and a great cut!
I'm not a barber but i can watch thoses videos all days
Need to get a cut here one day, i dream of it
Hey Rez! Do a wonderful job here ... I appreciate the way you explain things step by step! You deserve all the attention! I respect you

Los mejores en el arte de la barbería!!!... Son Top. Se nota la calidad del conocimiento, y la aplicación del mismo. Saludos desde Argentina.
You’ve done a great job explaining the haircut! Nice done Jason
Well done! Nice cut, explained well, appreciate the attention to detail
You're absolutely welcome Paul, stay tuned for more! 💪🤠
I feel like I’ve stolen from an educator. This should not be free but I’m insanely grateful as a barbering student to have watched this. Amazing and I will continue to rewatch it daily if possible!
Top notch job cutting and top notch job explaining, more videos from him!
Fantastic milky; I think Rob is a happy papa 💜🐽✂️
Well executed haircut and technique. love it ! Thank You Jason!
Amazing steps and explanation! Sorry, Rob and Leen... but this has been the best tutorial so far! Guess you've just got yourselves a new spokesperson! Congrats, Jason!
Hell yes another video 👌🔥 look forward to these so much love you guys 💯
I have been schooled. Exquisite my bother just fabulous.
Wow! What an awesome cut. Thanks
I Love Rob's classes, but Jason is even better, thanks!
One educator to the other...you’re really f’n good. Didn’t miss a beat and totally giving the what, why, and how👍🏻✌🏻🤙🏼
Definitely not this barber's first rodeo and it shows. Amazing cut. I wish I still had that kind of hair for such a haircut but being 46 changes things. So I have a haircut like the barber himself!
I wish my "barber" had that knowledge :(
Change barbers man, if you're paying for a service then make sure you're paying your well hard earned money to something you like. Where are you?
Milky is the good educator!
Thank you for this great tutorial. So many details 👍🏼
You're welcome George! Cool job by Jason right?! 🙌🤩

F. I. R. E!!!! 🔥 ✂️ 💪
Love that technique
Such a great video. Look forward to seeing more of Jason
this is exactly my haircut just different hair type. you'd be surprised how many times barbers/stylist go too way in the back of the head takes the balance out of the haircut
Best skin fade ever mate
Jason, have my baby. I love you and your barbering and teaching skill.
Really enjoy watching. Thank you. You are very cool every time I learn from you new
Thank you for being such an expert teacher.
Milky The barber is The best!!!
Respect for this hard work 👏🏼 🔥
Im a Hair Stylist in Texas. I call the creases in back of the head a " pack of weinees". Not to the client's face. Everyone's head is different.
