They don’t truly study the music rather just play it for enjoyment. Look at Yunchan Lim playing Liszt etudes making them a lot more interesting and much more musical than a lot of higher level pianists just playing them just to play them. I actually believe liszt is harder to understand and play and perform, look at his B minor sonata. not a single performance i’ve seen is perfect , and that says something 😳. @@mrm0n3yb4gs5I wholeheartedly agree. Liszt is always written-off as just a showoff composer, like the paganini on the piano, but liszt requires a lot musicality than paganini and his works can really be very beautiful when you dig deep enough. The difficulty in his pieces usually always makes the piece sound better, rather to just make it for the sake of making it hard. (except paganini-liszt etudes, they are honestly just showoff imo)

It's just one riff for the entire song, but it's a demanding riff that never lets up and is repeated endlessly for the entire ≈7 minute track with no breaks. It is an intense test of physhcal stamina and precision, and then you realize that during some live performances Andy Rourke and Jonny Marr would just ride that riff for upwards of fifteen minutes. Same with the drums. Take any Keith Moon passage, and really all you have is a steady symbol and a steady tom below accented by a bass. There are frills laid on top, but the foundations are quite simple. It’s his sound that makes him a truly master drummer, that deep, rich, textured sound that separates the masters from the everyday.

Only heard the first statement but as a previous concert pianist now composer it’s absolutely true.
The things which “blew peoples minds” that I would play on piano were usually easier pieces.
Simple pieces or just certain techniques are 1000000000x harder than raw speed!
Yesterday I was playing piano in a cathedral (beautiful Steinway D) but it was not quite in tune and the action was strange and the sustain infinite.
    So I played Satie.
Not because the very slow simple lyrical style would be easy but because it would be so hard.
When you’re playing fast if you don’t play a couple notes PERFECTLY no one even hears it.
If it’s a piece where a slow one note melody is the whole song really then yes one minor error and you’ve devastated the song.
You killed the beauty of the melody.
But when you’re whipping around snot so.
Also consecutive thirds in runs are so much more difficult than say the c# impromptu- it all comes down to the human hand and the Human mind.

My point was a linguistic one.
The video title suggests someone in this video asserts that "Rach is easy."
This person in the video does NOT say it's easy, and ALSO disagrees and says it
ISNT EASY AT ALL- ("get consent")
Tho he asserts that others suggest it may be.
      And so the title was--
(AS MOST ALL VIDEOS FALSELY LABEL FOR SEO)
-- a reversed, false misconstrual of the contained content.

Че так плохо -то?! Ты бы играть научился. Стыдно такое выкладывать. Рахманинову бы точно не понравилось!
