The best thing about her is that even though she's always loud and extra, she obviously loves Howard and would continue to take care of Howard even as her health deteriorate until her eventual death. She will be a mom if that's the last thing she'll ever do.

It's an American Jewish accent. In the Sopranos they have American Italian accents. They sound similar since both accents originate from New York.

I ask because that is what Carol Ann Susi and Debbie Wolowitz were respectively (RIP).
Italian mother's are usually Catholic and Ashkenazi Jews can be from anywhere in the world. That said, the two cultures are very similar - trust me I know as I'm half and half of both of the aforementioned. You might be surprised how many Italians and Jews get married due to the similarity in our cultural experiences.

She was the only character I truly found funny. Her lack of appearance made her unique. In the end, the last four seasons of this show were garbage…maybe her absence had something to do with it.
I swear this show wasn't as funny after Mrs walowitz passed cause the funniest parts of this show was Howard and Mrs walowitz arguing back and forth. Rest in peace Carol Ann Suzi
