I've got every one of these little cuties,in my back yard.As well as hummingbirds, blackbirds, and on occasion, bright, beutiful, blue birds.Always such a joy to watch and feed.😊
I have all of these. Love all their songs. I give a deedeedee, to my Chickadees and they sing right back to me❤
I'm in southeastern Pennsylvania, and I don't see Black Capped Chickadees or Mockingbirds around here anymore (saw them all the time as a kid in the 80's and 90's.) Now we have Catbirds and Carolina Chickadees. We also see a LOT more Eastern Bluebirds here (yay!) than I ever remember seeing as a kid. I love using sound recording apps to help me identify the visiting birds I hear in the summer. I think I've gotten up to nearly 50 different birds that I've heard in my own heavily wooded backyard now!
Thank you so very much for these videos. I'm learning so much from you all! ⭐
I am so excited to finally know about the wren and the wonderful song I hear frequently around sunset in Kent Oh! Thanks so much!
You’re very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for posting! We hear all 11 at one time or another throughout the year! Sitting in the yard is much more fun with all the birds around ❤
I just love the sounds of these birds 🤩❤ hearing them in the morning singing makes my cup of coffee a happy sunshine!! Especially when I feed them black oil seed sunflowers 😁 their songs even more beautiful and they're happy and full.
☀️👍 🐦
Great video. Very informative
Thank you so much. I just really appreciate all you tell us.
Excellent video, it’s a rainy Central Oregon Coast day and my German Shepherd and I are watching your show listening to, many of our local morning and evening bird songs. Thank you 🙏
Amazing how many birds our God created ❤. Love them
All the birds sound beautiful, bluejay bird sounds the loudest when singing thanks for sharing 💙😊🐦 6:37
Great job on the most common backyard birds. That Carolina Wren can make a variety of songs. One even sounded like a Northern Mockingbird but didn't repeat his song 3 times. Love your videos and the wonderful birds😊
I JUST ADORE MY RED CARDINALS! Special Spiritual Meaning. So true cause it happened to me❤🙏
To add I have multiple birds in trees around my yard! Lately I have e 4 baby robins about to leave their present home on my porch! 😊
Yes i hear them all, I Love them ❤ Thank you God Bless
We have a mocking bird in our yard (perhaps more than one) who has mastered the melody of our LG dryer. We have a big family, lots of laundry, many opportunities for the birds to hear it through an open window. Really threw me off for awhile. Imagine hearing that only to find an empty, cold dryer.
Got 'em all! :)
Just discovered a Carolina Wren (in NJ). Thanks to your video!
Love this video!! ❤ thanks so much!
Where I live, there are Carolina chickadees.
Oh wait the morning cardinal sounds like. Pretty Pretty
I’ve been hearing a bird nearby that reminds me of being at the cottage up north. I even bought a scope to look for it, but no luck.
I finally know it is the blue jay! Thanks
Another great video 🎉😊🌟🐦⬛
Out here in the west Derek sometimes Robins get confused owner calls with Black-headed Grosbeak more than once I bet on on bird walks and people have confuse those two birds .
Great video
Thanks for the visit
Anyone out there can help me identify a first time Bird my backyard I used a few Devices used for identifying sounds of birds And I come up empty 59 years I lived here never ever heard this bird before and soon as it gets dark it comes out and ALL NIGHT LONG non stop kinda chirping calls Sounds like almost a Coach using his whistle in football practice This is as close I can come up with sound. Please help me if u can I’d really appreciate it. I don’t mind hearing the unidentified bird This is the second year It’s driving me crazy not knowing. lol. Ty very much ❤
Awesome video!!! I was just in Oregon like you guys and I went to an awesome swift watch! I made a video about it if your interested! You guys are the best!!
I have all of these in my backyard except for the black-capped chickadee, which are replaced by the Carolina chickadee.
I see your Mourning Doves feel just entitled as mine. Ughg.. they drive me nuts! Lol
QUESTION: if a mocking bird was raised with a single type bird (lets say blue jay) would the mocking bird sing ONLY the blue jay's song?? - keeping in mind the mocking bird hears ONLY the blue jay from egg to adult or would the mocking bird also mimic birds he has never heard? - and that goes for other birds also - do birds LEARN their song from the parents or is it "built-in" - I know that bird vocal cords can be different so one bird singing another birds song will not sound EXCATLY the same - kinda like when a parrot learns to talk he does sound like a human but his voice still has that parrot "twang" - if a chickadee from the egg to adult never heard another chickadee what would his song be??
@jmarylastone mockingbirds are in a large group of birds called songbirds. They learn their songs mostly in their first few months of life.
Some songbirds only have one song, but many have several to scores of songs of their neighbors they learn.
Birds that aren’t songbirds have only one song that is innate. Thus all owls, pigeons, woodpeckers, loons, etc. have only one call.
If interested, I highly recommend The Singing Life of Birds by Donald Kroodsma.
@@absorbed-in-naturethats cool. Anyways so if a mockingbird was raised with just bluejays would they only make that call.
@@xcyberry I didn’t make it clear, but mockingbirds, starlings, and some other mimics continue to learn new “songs” their entire life and add to their repertoire.
I need help I’m going nuts trying to identify this bird only at night backyard. The bird came last April through summer months This year 2024 April it’s back The bird has a loud like a sound TWEET TWEET whistle I used all kinds of APS BIRD IDENTIFY SOUNDS. I get a Northern Mockingbird diagnosis and this is not the bird’s sound In the history of living in my house 59 years never ever experienced any bird that this is I searched and searched for answers 2 years now. Location is Pennsylvania. Ty help
Try Eastern Towhee
@@BadgerlandBirding awe ty almost. This bird tweets for 1 sec loud like someone blowing a whistle. Soon as it gets dark this bird comes out. Ty so much
@@JanisbbfCD if you get a recording you can send it to us: Badgerlandbirding@gmail.com

@@BadgerlandBirding Ok I sent you sound. Hope u receive this. It’s every night bird comes and all night til light of day. I love birds so much Ty again
I've got a pair of cardinals at my feeder, a male and a female. They each take turns eating while the other acts as a lookout. They signal to each other back and forth pretty regularly with these loud and sharp single chirps. Very cool to watch them until the blue jays show up and kick everyone out.
Yea ! Cardinals are awesome Look up spiritual meaning The male feeds the female he is more redder than the female she is just a little lighter in color They are mates for life
Oh yea Bluejays are bullies! Lol
Liked, and posting this comment to tell the ‘tube that I am not a bot.
What bird says richer richer,richer
Sounds like a Northern Cardinal
I hear a bird all of the time that sounds like cheater cheater. Does that sound familiar? I'm near Houston.
Check out the Carolina Wren and see if that fits
@@BadgerlandBirding Thank you for the suggestion. I'm going to search for it now. :)
Could be a Tufted Titmouse. I feel like they say, “Peter, Peter”.
Maybe the Red Cardinal
