Maybe I don't, but go watch week 2 the Cleveland game and watch how much time Watson had that's called a competent Center well the browns entire o-line is stacked, but Ethan pocic had a great season 71.4 grade compared to Mason Coles 57.3 in 2023 and his 67.1 in 2022. Get him a center that can snap the ball and anchor in pass protection Mason Cole is in Kenny's lap far to often, and when he's not he's snapping it into the ground making his qb bail him out while throwing the entire plays timing off. There’s not a single X, NFL, quarterback or expert who would agree with that statement. Kenny Pickett does not stay in the pocket, which does not allow for plays to develop downfield. Many times he rolls into pressure. He struggles to read defenses and go through his progressions. He is light years behind Mason Rudolph.

Burrow didn’t play, Ravens dropped 8 passes and 3 were touchdowns!! The defense was healthy and kept us in games!! With Kenny one read Pickett Steelers were outgained in yards by opposing team every game he started!!!

Steelers fan here... this highlights are reason why we need to get a better QB. Yes he shows flashes, but there are many people who do but are not consistent enough to get the job done. I mean if he's the guy going into 2024, then I hope for a renaissance, but to believe he's the guy to help us hoist no. 7 is kinda rich, no lie...

Im not a Steelers fan but I like this kid just watching from the outside. So much of football today is OC dependent with all these different schemes so Id give him one more year before you give up on him bc he seems like an accurate thrower with some mobility

Kenny cannot read a zone defense. as a QB you have to be able to anticipate throwing windows, thus he looks at read 1 then checks down resulting in short gains, 3 and outs, and the inability to stretch the field. He also will not stay put in a clean pocket consistently. has zero to do with Matt Canada. KP literally has the worst TD % in NFL history among QBs with at least 400 attempts@@xngscout5357

@@darrinhale8931Despite having to play under the consensus worst OC in the history of the NFL with an offense that has ZERO run game or rhythm, he has a 14-6 record in games he’s started and finished. He’s also one of the best, if not the best QBs in the clutch as he leads the league in comeback TD passes under five minutes in the last two years. This isn’t a coincidence, when it’s clutch time, he’s calling his own plays and not being handcuffed by Matt Canada. People will say, “is Canada making him miss throws?” The answer is no BUT Canada was definitely destroying his confidence and making him second guess himself. That’s why in the VERY FIRST game without Canada, the offense put up 400 yards for the first time in years and Kenny looked almost perfect. To sum it all up, I’ve never seen a first round QB with a very good winning record and very rare clutch ability, get this much hate from a fan base but it doesn’t surprise me since this dumbass fan base wanted Ben to retire also not realizing it was Matt Canada all along.

Kenny will be fine what make Pickett special is that he good in the 4th Qtr which is hard for a NFL QB now and days. I think the new OC needs to do his best in bringing out 4th Qtr Pickett and having him play like that all game. Kenny Pickett has what it takes to take the Steelers to the SB. You see the Ravens. Lamar folds under the lights time and time again. Kenny has proven he doesn't. He wins the playoffs game in BUF. He's amazing in the 4th Qtr and if Mason played decent football for the whole 4th we win that game.

He's definitely got what it takes.. That offensive line was horrendous. Look how that pocket collapsed every play, but towards the end of the season it did get alot better. Hopefully they can feed off the Improvements into next year.

Tape isn’t bad, just needs more time to develop. And a better oline. He’s not the worst I’ll say that. He has good on the move passing ability and he’s clutch. Just needs to work on seeing the whole field instead of quadrants

he doesnt understand zone coverages. a qb has to anticipate windows in a zone and KP is lost against it. thus the checkdowns, 3 and outs, and no points. real game tape shows over and over again open receivers that he never looks at, with very visibly frustrated receivers after the play

No matter what issues the coordinator or offense scheme has the biggest problem is the QB not reading the field correctly. Since why Randolph LOOKS Better than Kenny (which he isn't a good QB his self) but he at least knows how to read coverages better
Reminded me of how damn good he was against the Bengals in his first game without Canada. Unfortunately he got hurt the following week & was 7/10 on his passes so far early in that game when he went down. Hopefully that’s a sign that he will be much better without Canada.

One thing I will say. We fired Canada & in 5 days without him Kenny played by far his best game against the Bengals, then the following week he was looking pretty solid until he got hurt. Who knows, maybe he would’ve turned it up, and played just as good as Mason in the final 3 weeks of the season if he didn’t get hurt.

Pickett wasn’t good in college either it’s no surprise he isn’t good now. Even with bad coaching line etc a QB with some kind of upside would have shown you flashes or given you something to hang your hat on to believe in but he doesn’t. Nothing about his game stands out
So many of you are quick to dismiss a guy who excelled in a pro style offense in college and has proven when he stays upright and is able to finish games, he wins.
Knock on his availability and occasional pocket presence troubles, but the guy can play. To act like the Steelers offense that fired it’s coordinator and didn’t start its first round LT who was traded up for until halfway through the season, to make that offense seem loaded around Kenny, is ludicrous. He’s got quality skill guys around, but the line just wasn’t there last season. They released Mason Cole today for good reason, as well as Chukes a few days before. If Kenny doesn’t get the support needed here, I hope he finds a new home and rips us to shreds so Steelers fans can stop acting like bens successor needs to be elite right away without much to work with.

absolutely most ridiculous statement that I have seen. you obviously didnt watch the games or simply dont know what to look for. Rudolph was 3rd string for 2 years. that means no snaps in practice with the 1st string offense, the rest of practice he runs the other teams offense so that the defense can get a look. He comes in and lights it up, has good timing and chemistry with the offense and gets the job done. This "played against weak" teams is just a dumb statement. There’s things to like there’s things to really not like. But to me he looked better as a rookie…and that’s not saying much. Looks like he regressed or wasn’t as confident when the season started.
Kenny has to get better next season. He’s solid and does most things right but he’s not “great” yet

Easy to look good on a highlight tape, that’s why they’re called mf highlights lol. But I will say this, I am not against giving the man 1 more chance with a whole new offense installed. Idk if people understand truly how bad Canadas entire offense was, it was legitimately high school shit, or let’s be generous & say college shit. He has been fired from like 8/9 college jobs for a reason. Like I’ve said for the past year, idc of our OC is a super successful guy with a big name… just having a competent pro level OC should make all the difference in the world. Even after firing Canada they had to stick with his playbook that is full of trash route concepts. Because of that, I am ok with Kenny getting 1 more year to prove he can be a good QB.
