How many times do I say this is huge?! 🤣 let me know in the chat below
Might have a wide range of lenses but they are non native- ef Lenses Put adapter on it and it it gets bigger and heavier
Thank you so much Christian for your sharing your thoughts about purchasing R10! Very helpful! God bless you and good luck!
thank you I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
thank you for this video the last fact was really surprising for me i had no idea something like this exists
Glad you enjoyed the video. ✌
I bought it for professional work and I'm not regretting it at all! Nice for portraits 👌
Great to hear! This the R10 is a great camera and so capable. I bet you’re getting some awesome portraits with it 👍🏻
How is it so far after a couple of months? Would you still recommend it for professional work? I ordered one to use for professional work as a rookie photographer/videographer and i want to make sure this camera will be enough for me
@@Jra362 for me it's still definitely working fine as a professional camera! I'm now saving up for lenses, but the camera those it's job and my clients are happy. If you're on a budget, I would recommend it. But i do mostly slower portrait model shoots family shoots etc.
Nice overview! Thanks for sharing 👏
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video very interesting and has me thinking of getting one soon , was looking at the R7....👍
Glad I could help, honestly they are both great camera and does the R7 have some great advantage 100% but it depends on what you if your going to use certain things. I think either way which ever you decide on for what you need if for you will be pleasantly surprised. Drop a comment and let me know which one you end up with! 👊🏻
Thank you for great review.... very helpful...
Thank you for you support, I’m glad you enjoyed it 👊🏻
I'm poised to purchase one to replace my M kit and glad that all of my RF glass will be compatible. But, I will miss my M lenses, especially the 11-22mm and 32mm f/1.4, which have been perfect for hiking.
Some of the M lens are great, and they are great for situations where you need super light and portable devices. R10 is lightweight and only a little heavier than an m50 but it is the lenses that will make the difference
Good points. I am going to buy Canon EOS R10 camera this week and have gone through all the reviews and very positive reviews out there for this camera.
What about stabilization because I need this camera for video as well as photos for personal use. Appreciate your help.
This really is a great camera, and I've been more than happy with it. there isn't any in body image stabilisation on the R10. it only has in digital stabilisation.
How long will the fully charged battery let you record 4K 30FPS ? More than an hour or less than an hour ? ? ? Thank you !
Great review. One question, do you know if an external intervalometer can be connected to R10?
Great question! It’s not something I’ve tested but you can set interval shooting in the body and there is connection for a trigger or an intervalometer. But as to which one would work I’m not sure as it’s not something I’ve tested. And you can also use this camera via Bluetooth so that may open something up as well. When I get a chance I will look at the Bluetooth shooting and see what the options are. It’s been a while since I looked

Hello Master:
Please help and give me some advice,
The camera I am currently using is Canon EOS R10,
The kit lens used with it is (RF-S18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM)
My main subject matter is toy photography.
The secondary shooting content is street photography or portrait photos.
Now I want to buy new lenses, after watching your video,
Want to compare between Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM and RF85mm F2 Macro IS STM
After making a choice, I would like to ask you to give me some advice on which lens is more suitable for me? Thank you.🙏
I am trying to pick between t8i, R10, G1 X Mark III - Use case is general travel video/photo, some CZcams video. Taking up a new hobby as I enter retirement and travel some. What are your thoughts?
I personally would go R10 it is smaller than the t8i, R10 has the newer digic x processor over the Digic 8 in the t8i, R10 has dual pixel auto focus in 4k (T8i doesn’t) there also isn’t a crop on the 4k on the standard frame rates (upto 30Fps) plus it has eye, animal and vehicle tracking auto focus. Does up to 23fps for photography. Can use EF and RF glass on the R10. Plus a lot of other things.
R10 over the G1x Mark iii, most of the above plus no changeable lens on the g1x so could potentially harbour growth. No 4k at all. No external microphone connection. I hope this helps some what. The R10 is just newer technology so gets more within the body. ✌🏼
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Would you suggest this for an everything camera? I want to shoot every type of picture and also videography/cinematography
100% if you don’t want to spend thousand this little camera is more than capable of many things. I’ve been really impressed with it. Is it the best camera you can buy for any money no. But for this price it’s hard to beat
Just starting out and was thinking about the r10 but now I'm wondering if I should go R8 or R7. Currently I would be using it for family photos, kids, babies, etc. I would love to grow into doing family portrait photography. The hand hold on the r10 is perfection for me but I want a camera that will take me a bit to grow into. Any recommendations? I honestly don't have a need for video at this time. Would love to hear your thoughts. TIA!!
I will go with R8 because it's a full frame and have a sensor same as the EOS R6 Mark II but be warned that R8 don't have a mechanical shutter. If you have issue capturing photos using electronic first curtain or electronic shutter, you're doomed. R7 is a good option since it has a lot of professional features like dual card slot but there's a review of the R7 consistently misses focus and the IBIS is wobbly especially for it's higher price.
I think you would be happy with either, but I would go for the R8 it uses the same sensor as the Canon R6 MKII. Actually it is pretty much the canon R6mkII but stripped back. All the portrait photographers and wedding photographers I know prefer the full frame. The bigger sensors have more surface area to capture light. The R10 and R8 both have 24.2mp sensors. But with the R8 sensor being bigger it allows more light per pixel. The Ibis in the R7 honestly is less important for me personally with photography. The R8 for Full frame at the price is hard to beat. I think for video between the R7 and R8 it’s close. But for photo for me it would be the R8
Sir is after taking picture can it edit in there ?,like color adjust or anything
you can select a colour profile beforehand, but there is no way you can edit in cam. but you can send straight to your phone via bluetooth and end and app on your phone, i do this sometimes with Lightroom✌
@@ChristianPitcher thank you🎊
Might have a wide range of lenses but they are non native- ef Lenses Put adapter on it and it it gets bigger and heavier
Not really the weight of the adapter is nothing and when you compare it with the cameras that the EF mount is standard on they are heavier. Once you ad the adaptor to an R10 it makes it 539g where as a canon 90d is 701g out of the box. Does it make the camera bigger yes of course it does but is it worth the trade off? yes it can be
@@ChristianPitcher I have R7 which is bigger than R10 and with adapter using 70-200 2.8 is uncomfortable. With 7d mark II it was very well balanced setup. With R7 it's front heavy and cumberstone. So for so small cameras like R7 or even R10 only smaller glasses (under 1 kg) with adapter makes sense
Canon EOS R10 vs Olympus E M5 Mark III choice? I can get both at the same price in Aust atm $1350
These to are close in spec, both good in there own ways, and it depends on what your looking to do with your camera. The Olympus in silver and black looks great as well. I’ve actually looked at one of these for myself. But you have to take on to considerations the micro four thirds, so all the lens have a crop factor of X2. so, a 24mm becomes a 48mm ect, I know people that live and die by micro four thirds, so it’s a complete preference thing. Have you you go somewhere you can look at them both and see how they feel and work? I use another brand for work and they are great imagine quality but horrible to use, not very intuitive so I would never buy the brand I work with.
@@ChristianPitcher Travel mainly, thank you for replying so quickly, sale ends tomorrow
Get the Panny G9 if you're going mirrorless so many more features over the oly (and it's cheaper) than the oly too.
Hi I have 200D but would like to know if my nifty fifty will still be compatible with the R10
So the Canon R10 can still use EF glass like your nifty fifty (assuming you fit it to your 200d without an adaptor.) but to use an EF mount Nifty Fifty you will need the EF-RF adaptor. Now depending on where you are in the world the R10 general comes with the adaptor. I can’t guarantee it comes in every location or in every box. But it’s worth looking for deals with it as it’s normally advertised or you could pick an adaptor up new for around £119 or a used one, they are still worth it as there isn’t much to goes wrong with them.
I hope this helps thanks for the comment? 👊🏻
@@ChristianPitcher I’m in China so hopefully it comes with the adaptor ,this was helpful thanks man
Can we use sigma 30 mm f1.4 lens in the r10 and can we use godox xt1 trigger??
If the sigma lens is a EF mount you can use the EF-RF adaptor and it will work. As for your trigger. I haven’t checked compatibility on it so sadly I can’t give you that answer
@@ChristianPitcher thanks man👍

How would it compare to the Canon r50?
the Canon r10 and r50 have very similar, but the canon r10 edges it slight, if the but it also depends on what you would use it for. if your move a video or photographer shooter, but the r10 expands on a few of the r50 features. the biggest ones for me is the r50 only takes uhs-1 sd cards so that effects the burst modes because if buffering, and it also does get any 4k 60 fps for video, but there are a few other differences, the r10 in the sale is a better buy personally. but with that said everyone has different needs.
Is there face tracking / eye auto focus on 4k 60fps and also on 120fps?
Yeah the eye tracking workings on the 60 and 120fps, I’ve just retested the 120fps to be sure and it works brilliantly 👊🏻
@@ChristianPitcher that is amazing hopefully you can upload sample videos of how good the quality of 120fps and 60fps
if cannon cant be bothered with flash sync ports neither can i be bothered with them , i now cant sync my old flash units and i dont want to trigger them with a speed light bouncing all over the place .
Chrissy this isn’t something i ever really use, but this is a worth point out. Thanks ✌🏼
I’m just now getting into photography should I get the r10 or r6?
If you the R6 is within budget then it is a much better camera. And I would go R6 there are mainly reasons why to many to list here. But ultimately go with the camera that does everything you need. And can potentially last you a long time
@@ChristianPitcher I got the r10 but need help with the settings, u mind helping
Is it good for sports photography?
It’s really good for sports that fast fps for photography will come on hand to not miss the shot 👊🏻
@@ChristianPitcher What do you think about the Sony ZV E10 ? I just need a camera under $1k for my son’s soccer game.
yes
@@Kekmit Thanks
If only it had ibis. My hands shake. Therefore, ibis is a must. I'm only interested in photography, not video. Handheld photography.
I completely understand what your saying, and when your at a slower shutter speed I can make a real difference. What else have you considered?
Is it micro 4/3rds, gee that sensor looks teeny tinny. Its supposed to be apsc but I've never an apsc camera that was that humungous dwarfing the sensor. 10 reasons why YOU DON'T BUY THE CANON R10:
1. Smallest apsc sensor. Canon always had a smaller apsc sensor with a 1.6x crop factor over the 1.5x, making their wide and ultra wide lenses slightly shorter over a Sony sensor in a Pentax, Nikon or a Sony camera.
2. EFS lenses. EFS lenses had a huge protrusion out the rear going beyond the bayonette and into the mirror-box, thus making the EFS lens not backwards compatible with full frame cameras. Whereas every other camera maker had reverse/backwards compatible apsc lenses to full frame cameras, as many apsc lenses do actually cover the full frame image circle.
3. EOS M. The EOS M was Canons incubator project for their mirrorless cameras, and the whole EOS M line was a Beta test. It was such a half-assed camera system, that it was a joke really for a long time - kind of like if the gasoline car makers built an electric car to showcase how bad electric cars can be. The EOS M was the Beta test and EOS M buyers were the Beta testers and suckers.
4. EOS M lens migration to RF. When the EOS M lenses started to turn up in the new RF mount for the new apsc RF line of cameras, a smart person would have seen the writing on the wall and bailed out and sold off all their Canon EOS M junk.
5. So Canon discontinued production of an entire system of camera and its lens mount, which was not obsolete, but was made to be obsolete. Yet there are bozo's commenting in the comment section how THEY'LL BUY the R10 to replace the EOS M thats now for no apparent reason obsolete. Its called "Planned Obsolescence". The camera system, wasn't actually obsolete and Canon is open to being sued by Canon EOS M users for A FULL REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE - plus court costs and compensation and emotional distress. This is a class action waiting to happen, and Canon is a particularly wealthy company and it will be easy pickings for the right lawyers.
6. Canon EFS lens range. The native lens range for EFS lenses was very poor. If you shot with Canon apsc you needed to get third party lenses as Canon barely supported this sensor format. You were encouraged to buy full frame lenses and later switch to a full frame camera that costed 3, 4 ,5 or 6 times as much as an apsc camera body.
7. Canon EFS third party lenses being crippled by the firmware. Owning a third party lens for Canon apsc meant that the 3rd party lens would be throttled and miss focus about 10% of the time over the native lenses.
8. EOS M lens range. Canon barely supported the EOS M and there was only a handful of dedicated EOS M lenses. You were expected to adapt EF or EFS lenses via the adapter that was sometimes sold with the EOS M.
9. EOS M 3rd party lens support was pitiful.
10. Canon RF apsc lens support will be pitiful. You'll be forced to pay the stratospheric prices for full full frame lenses to use on your RF apsc camera. Canon will block most 3rd party lens support for your RF apsc camera. Its going to be a very very expensive apsc system.
Every other manufacturer except Nikon will have better lens support and 3rd party lens support. Canon RF mount is a complete joke of a system like EOS M was. You've got mental health issues if you buy into this system after the way Canon treats its loyal dipsh*t customer base.
Maybe I've overlooked it but my R10 DOES NOT shoot 120fps. Are ya sure about that?
Yeah it definitely does. You have to go in to the menu and swap it in to high frame rate, then it appears, but gets rid of the other options like 24, 30 fps and you will have to swap it back for the standard frame rates.
@@ChristianPitcher Found it. Thanks !
reason not to buy a canon: they dont support third party lenses
if youre looking for a better apsc entry level with a vintage look? get a fuji xt30
It is a shame that canon have stopped support of third party lens, as there are some great lens out there. There must be some great plan… hopefully 🤞
Yeah the Fuji XT30 is a great camera, and I love there is so much choice for people to make the right decisions for themselves.

@@groundhoppingwlkp3622 i have nothing against sony, one of the best system to use imo, amazing full frame systems but for beginners, im not gonna recommend sony for their apsc
r10 is much better than r50
Yeah the R10 is better but the R50 is designed as an entry level vlogger style cam
This is huge rip off. Reason 11. Don't buy it.
Why you say that?
I personally think for the price point the the amount that you can do with R10, and the benefits the features bring add great value. But like any camera it might not be for everybody.
