Asics is the King hands down.
ultraboost are like nothing I've ever worn before. i have worn the new the nimbus, triumph, lunar glides, vomero and brooks glycerin. all fairly good shoes but the Ultraboost is on another level!

I've got a pair of the Nike lunarepics and I can honestly say they are the most comfortable trainers I've ever worn and defiantly worth the money plus I think it's standard that they come with a 6mm sole to put in for extra comfort

Ultra boost are by far the comfiest shoes I've ever worn but for running they're almost too comfy, it's sorta like getting out of a really comfy bed in the morning, hard work. I prefer a firmer response when running.

Lunarepics for running because they make you feel super light, but ultra boosts are so much better for just dressing casual because they are so comfy and go with everything

Something I noticed with the last ones is when it shows the closeup of the feet of guy running and his heels hit the ground, it's like the shape of the shoe snaps his foot forward flat on the ground. Imagine running a long distance, this would be hard on the feet and joints. Would a more curved sole not be more fluid, so the foot can roll more than slap down flat on every step?
Rather than ultraboost personally I feel that pure boost is a better running shoe

Looking for a running shoe? Before you even consider dropping nearly 2 bones on the Adidas Ultraboost, check out this review... I recently needed a better running shoe, and what I did since I'm on a no spending buidget is, I took my old ASICS which were problematic, and fixed them... yes, I reduced the side cages, colored the midsole, and added better gel insoles I had been keep in my dress shoe... in fact I swapped insoles altogether, and both shoes benefited, so zero costs, 100% benefit, now that's the kind of budget I can get behind!
Once you step in to the boost..that's it

It is meant for running but it just doesn’t fulfill the purpose it is made for and is better for casual purposes. It does sadly fall under the running shoe category and adidas should be ashamed of this overhyped shitty running shoe they made.

Nah, those shoes are SO heavy and the heel to toe drop is too big. And the 2016 models took away some ankle support.
Shoes are ass assuming you can even buy them for less than 200. Heavy, hot, expensive, high off the ground, and have a life span of a month. Pass

The lunar epics were great for support and short distance running. Anything over 10 miles tho and the chaffing on the ankle is unbearable

I had asics in 6th grade for track and I loved them , then I had the Nike Pegasus 32 and then the vomero 10 and then saucony and now puma disc track sprint spikes

For me Nimbus is too heavy. Tbh most of asics cushioned shoes are overweight and the company has been trying to tackle this issue for years. The boost is by far the best midsole material on the market and UltraBoost did make the most of it. Although it lacks protection for running long distances. Saucony Triumph ISO provides just the right combination between light weight and cushioning. But for some reason I always find saucony shoes "collapse" rather quickly. The midsoles of my triumph 10 and triumph iso were at least 1cm thinner after 200km in.

cuz that's 95 % of runners... new research also shows heel strikers have no reason to change their style to become faster or run injury free. but, for speedy forefootstriikers i would say nikie flyknit racer!
splijter That's only because of modern shoes, if you were to run barefoot, in the most natural way for a human possible, heel striking still is 100% prone to injury. It also slows you down significantly, you can't deny that when the fastest athletes in the world don't heel strike. Personally, after I found out about heel striking and stopped doing it, I became a LOT faster.
what i have read is that for high speeds fore foot striking is better, if you run 6:30 miles heel strike is fine. myself, i do hit the ground very slightly with my heel first. in speed training it switches to forefoot. what distances are you running?
splijter In that case you are correct. When I go for jogs I definitely have a slight heel strike, but mainly still use midfoot. I do enjoy sprinting more, and when you're doing that you have to know about accelerating, drive phase, maximum velocity etc. You use forefoot when driving and switch to midfoot when maintaing velocity.

lol, any decent runner knows that Nike doesn't come close to having a decent running shoe compared to the others in this list, its just a hype brand with inescapable marketing. New Balance Fresh Foam should be here
I agree, the fresh foam are probably the best running line to come out this year. I personally run in hoka one clifton 2s. My problem with nike is their shoes are heavy, have a large heel to toe drop and a lot of times have no ankle. It is surprising that my cliftons are lighter than my friend's pair of free 3.0s.

The ultra boosts have the same problems as most of the nike shoes. They are too heavy because all of the boost material in the midsole and the heel to toe drop is too large to allow a decent running form.
