"gentlemen touch tips"
Sounds just wrong
You know you've been playing too many Fromsoft games when you see dudes in full plate armor and expect them to do a roll-dodge, and feel weided out when they don't.
I believe i finally found a sport that i like watching. These guys are insane! Great sportsmanship too
Cool. Didn't know this was a thing.
Fucking awesome.
You guys should do wayy more promo. One clip on tiktok and boom me and three friends are driving to from Cincinnati to Nashville for ringside seats xD. We're super excited
This!! I saw a random clip on Twitter, was like "no way this is real, right?" and now im here!
I saw a clip on Instagram and it went so hard. I had to look into it and the second I saw how violent it got I was not disappoint. peak combat sport
This is god tier sports
Only 12k views on this is criminal! I enjoyed this more than any other televised sports, the good attitude at the end of the fight inbetween the two knights was really sweet to see too.
Glad i realized this exists
Bel combattimento, all'insegna del valore e della sportività 💪💪💪

Damn, Mickey is brutal! Definitely a hard match-up for John, but he put up a valiant fight. Awesome fight and I will now be following this sport! (This was my first time seeing this)
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen 😂
dude asked if any injuries happen, they said stabbings happen 💀
We do try to avoid them and have some strict rules about tip control on weapons. As well as weapons regulations that mitigate that. But yeah injuries like broke bones, concussions, cuts all happen
@@armoredmmapeople need to control their tips bro …..
This is amazing
so this is what the battle from medieval era looks like. It's crazy to think that multiple people goes into fight with only this.
Очень крутой вид боя!!!😂 продолжайте в том же духе!!!👍👍👍
i think i found my sport
A man's sport!
YOOOOOOO
Jiri would be crazy in this
In the world of stupid celebrities freak fights this sport is pure gold.
Is this actually real?!
medevil times is getting wild
i think the problem with this fight is he cant really use his spear like a spear, doesn't have the same weight to it when you swing it like an axe has
Why not let them disarm and then fight to retrieve a weapon again, would actually make mixed martial arts skills applicable.
*In a broader sense, including grappling and disarm techniques which are aplenty in ancient martial arts
pfft casual
The fighters are wearing full steel Gauntlets without any individual figures. It is incredibly hard to pick up a weapon off the ground in them. There is tons of funny videos of knights trying to. So we stop the fight and penalize them for losing their weapons be taking points away. Also, if the person purposefully ditches the weapon to get an advantage, then we penalize them even harder. We are forcing the weapon into the equation to prevent it from being armored boxing. That being said, while on the ground, we allow fighters to drop weapons and switch to hand to hand. This simulates what would happen in history when two fighters hit the ground, they would ditch the bigger weapon and pull out a smaller dagger. Since we don't want people dead from dagger stabs, we allow for ground and pound without any weapons in the hands while on the ground.
@scaledsupremacy817 as I said in my other comment, a disarm causes a fighter to lose points. So having good disarm technique is actually encouraged. In this video the green guy disarmed the other fighter to force the judge to stop the fight and penalize the fighter who dropped his weapon

Dark Souls PVP in real life.
Yo they touched tips
Parece divertido, por lo menos a mi me entretuvo. Aunque espero que este bien cubierto en el tema de emergencias en caso de que alguno se corte muy gravemente.
Haven't watched a ton of this yet but the axes seem much harder hitting than the swords.
You should thrust with the spear.
There isn't any thrusts in our sport
@@armoredmma Not even in the locker rooms?
@@samc3769 just touch tips
@@armoredmmauseless weapon then!!!
for honor in real life i see
Why is he swinging the spear? Isn't it meant to poke to keep a distance?
Modern gladiator
Are the weapons made of steel?
I mean why not? Now if you’ll excuse I’m gonna play some Kingdom Come Deliverance
Also to they call their corner men squires because they should
This really highlights how good Warhorse did with the sound design
I second this notion. Somebody start a petition
@@bmanriggs1999 Warhorse and Deep Silver are the truth
I dont understand why the dude had a spear when u can’t kill the other dude so now he’s very limited to how he can attack a dude who can grab and hit alot better with his long axe (idk I js thought it was a dumb weapon choice🤷🏻)
Green guy made red guy his child
Ayo
But, who gets the girl? What, no girl? Then what's the point? There should be a girl!
Swordsare wack and really boring axe/ mace etc is needed for this to be a thing maybe better athletes too for cardio
lol
I don't know the rules, but this is the worst use of a spear I've ever seen. You are using a spear, my friend, you should not bring your opponent closer to you. Hold the spear close to the middle so you can hit your opponent with the short side of the spear when he approaches you. If you try the long side, the guy will move closer to you until you hit. And why doesn't he stab?
There is no thrusting in the sport
No thrusting and the spear is optimized for pole arm duels. The Beard of an axe can get stuck on the shaft of my spear and I can use that to my advantage which happens in this fight. My spear doesn't get stuck and it's at the minimum legal weight limit for most leagues. My opponent in the green is an amazing fighter and has fought me many times using pole arm and knew exactly what he was supposed to do to get the win. I used the same spear in a tournament a few weeks before this fight and won gold in the pole arm category. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. It's just the beauty of this sport haha.
@@JohnStegmeierbro came to answer himself, respect.
Sooooo has anyone been injured in this sport? Maybe impaled a little?
Yes injuries happen all the time. Fractures, knock outs, cuts...some stabbings have happened but rules and good sword work does keep stabbing to a min. But it's like regular mma, injury happen
I've suffered a broken collar bone doing this haha
@@JohnStegmeier you guys are amazing
first with gloves, now no gloves 😂😂😂only time will tell 👍 👎
this looks like it doesn't work at all, it's like doing bjj with a big neck guard on so choking is impossible. the axes are basically sticks here
There are no submissions. That being said you certainly can choke someone with armor, but having metal on people throats could lead to slit throats. So submissions are currently not included in this sport. But there is plenty of ground game. View our other videos we just put out
@@armoredmma it was an analogy. the point is this is axes without what axes do, because that would be dangerous, so then why?
@emilianosintarias7337 guess I am not sure what the question is. These axes can break bones, cut through skin, and knock you out.... all of which has happened to both of these fighters. The green has had several broken hands and broke his thumb in this fight. He has been knocked out with an axe before and had his tendons pushed out of his arm. The other fighter has titanium plates holding his collar bone together from an axe strike from last year. So I'm not sure what the question is regarding the axes?
@@armoredmma the point is that axes typically cut and chop things. the armor reduces all weapons to basically the same weapon a stick/ club or hammer. If the axes are chopping flesh, IE, being used as axes, something has gone terribly wrong. So it's not a question, just a comment that I don't think this sport can thrive beyond the novelty stage - unless the weapons used are those dull ones intended to whack people with, and the armor adapted.
@@emilianosintarias7337 I've thought about this a lot and I think the answer would be hammers made of a super dense rubber that won't hit AS hard as the real thing but will still be capable of K.O . I agree bringing a lot of weapon choices in these fights are questionable for fighting actually armored opponents , but we don't want fatalities. Some compromises towards safety must be made . I suggest ditching the swords , axes are basically just sharp hammers anyway so keep them , and allow for some sort of mace/hammer that isn't made of steel/iron to be used . Rubber mallets still pack a hell of a whollop.
Using weapons here is utterly stupid; they lose their purpose and turn into clubs. The most effective options are either an actual club, a two-handed stick, or simply gloved fists.
Have you been hit with an axe before?
@@armoredmma gold comment
You mean armor actually does the job it was intended to do? Amazing.
They're using their weapons the way it was used to kill (except for thrusting because it's not allowed), but armor exists for a reason.
