Conor Benn has failed a drugs test for a fertility drug that can be used to boost testosterone in male athletes. The fight is scheduled to still go ahead with the official doping agency for the fight UKAD saying they have had no positive tests. It all seems abit fishy to me, what do you guys think? Clomid, when used by a young, fit male, is generally used to bring back testicular function following a anabolic drug cycle. It’s a common part of post-cycle-therapy in bodybuilding.
Yeah I read that online, do you think he just messed up the timings and got caught out by the test. I imagine it might have a short half life so gets out the system quick?

Yeah, I mean the half life is generally considered to be a week.....that's elimination half life, so 50% complete. I've no idea how advanced the testing is with VADA, but medically, Clomid could remain detectable for up to 30(ish) days.
Regardless of this speculation, it's obvious, in my opinion, he's used this as a tool in preparation for this fight. You simply don't use Clomid, if you're a male athlete....unless, of course, it compliments other 'supplements' you may have been 'exposed' to previously. 😁

Being a former competitive bodybuilder, that's exactly what it is used for. He was running gear like they ALL do.
They all run steroids in sports it's nothing new. Why not just let them go for it.
It takes away the integrity from the sport and amateur boxers will think they need to be on gear to reach any sort of good level.
The thing about it now and it’s very plain to see, money talks and for me nobody can be trusted , Vada, USADA etc….. you’re literally taking your life in your hands and hoping , trusting people will be honest to their fellow professionals . It isn’t the case .
