The first CB650F was 87hp, then they issued the 91 hp model. It was initially presented as a successor of CB600F Hornet (102 hp) but actually it was more an evolution of the previous CBF600 (80 hp).
I was not very enthusiasmed by it and I further prefer the style of my current CB650R (95 hp), even if it is not really a "new" Hornet.
The next Hornet should be presented in late 2022 and the characteristics remain unknown so far.

Hi yes it really reminds me of the Hornet CB 600. This cb650r is much much lighter though.

I can’t find a cb650r for sale anywhere available, these bikes honestly don’t seem that different. Actually the F with its headlight visor looks more comfortable to get wind out of your face more. I wonder if there is a big speed/power difference? It doesn’t seem so; I just like the R badge over the F even though they are probably very close in power

The R is lighter than the F. R is aggressive / sports bike like ride while the F is more relaxed/ touring type of bike.

Hi . If you want a relaxed riding style, plan to go on long rides, stick with your cb650f.
But if you just want quick weekend ride, to release your need for speed go try the cb650r. The cb650r is aggressive, its a naked sportsbike.
