    I decided years ago to follow Paul's lead and seek to be content whether prosperous or not. Being a Christian nationalist I prefer an outcome that favors Christian worldview, but I see my vote as the ticket to the stand up comedy of politics, so I enthusiastically employ it to enjoy the outcome the Lord provides.

This is specifically designed with a T***p presidency in mind. In fact T***p got his list of SCOTUS judges from Heritage. The Heritage Foundation has been doing this for "conservative" presidents for decades. This is the 11th iteration of their "recommendations".

    It's fine to vote for Nebuchadnezzar instead of Jezebel, because in the final analysis, you're simply a pilgrim, if you're in Christ. (1 Peter 2:11). The exile has a single task related to the proverbial Babylon: Jeremiah 29:7. Do good by the city in which you dwell. That means simply stepping on the side of the boat that hopefully keeps it from sinking. Do good by it. If you're unsuccessful, at least you can be obedient to the Lord, and do good. And doing good isn't a matter of opinion. There's an absolute truth to what would be better. Proverbial Nebuchadnezzars are better than Jezebels. Nebuchadnezzars are better than Belshazzars. If Nebuchadnezzar or Caesar repents like the King of Nineveh, then praise the Lord. If not, at least he'll govern with more sense than Jezebel or Belshazzar. And Jesus is King, in the final analysis. So, if He blesses a place with sensible government, and His people benefit from that, then praise Him for that. The main thing is to not be disobedient, like French is being. Don't do bad by the proverbial "city" because you're letting the imperfect be the enemy of the good. Do good by the city, and watch and pray. Matthew 26:41, so that you're not tempted to do bad by the city and bad by your neighbors and your children and yourself.

    Cynicism or Perfectionism… What about pragmatism? I hold my vote hostage until a presidential candidate “pays” me in the form of a promise to outlaw abortion outright.
    If they know they will never get my vote(and 100s of thousands of others) without that plank they’ll think twice about tossing that plank overboard.

    The problem is that we know that the founding fathers knew much about Christianity, but they very specifically left guard out of the supreme law of the land. In exchange, they made the people collectively those that define justice and therefore rights.
    So when we vote, we are literally giving representation to those that will swear and oath that has no god higher than we the people.
    In essence rebellion against God and the king of Kings

    My vote is still an open question right now... Imagine we live in Berlin Germany during the rise of the Third Reich. Let's also pretend that Hitler is good on the economy, the border, hates the deep state, etc, and all his opponents are TERRIBLE with respect to these issues. But he's got this weird thing about Jews being sub-human and is going to let the lesser-magistrates "follow their hearts on this one." Obviously you're not a huge fan of gas-chambers and concentration camps, but you'd rather have Hitler because he's better than Steve or Rick or Sarah.
    Will we really get nowhere if we wait for the "perfect candidate," or do we have pathetic candidates now because the GOP knows they can LITERALLY get away with murder? Or rather, they know that we'll allow them to get away with murder.

      @reminders8657 You're on to something here. As christians were are never to endorse the lesser evil, but to abstain from all forms of evil. God never asked us to vote in pagan states..(voting is the pivotal sacrament of the pagan state, and not a christian mandate in any way, shape or form). We are to pray for leaders, to do good to all, but in no way are we to engage in evil endorsements in order to "save" the state. We are not here to save any earthly state from destruction, we are here to preach Christ's eternal kingdom that ultimately destroys all earthly states. Our mission is not the preservation of evil states, but the advancement of Christ's kingdom by preaching the gospel and living holy lives.

    I apologize in advance for the length of this comment. I’m not one to leave comments under videos, but when I do, brevity can be an elusive goal. Below, I offer a counter-argument to the one Pastor Wilson made in his video, as well as a historical model for how we can honor God with our vote, kiss the Democrats and Republicans goodbye, and, Lord-willing, have a worthy leader.
    I understand many, including Pastor Wilson, are thankful for Trump's judicial appointments that led to abortion landing back in the States’ jurisdiction, where there is more local control. That reason alone is often offered as justification for a Trump vote by Christians. This confounds me, as it is support for an immoral, lawless action that impedes the effort to protect unborn children. I can hear the groans and brain cells exploding, but let me explain: Should the right to life of those born in the image of God be dependent upon place of birth? The state-based approach was tried with slavery and failed miserably. The Missouri Compromise was a disaster, as moral compromises naturally are. Thank God for the Christian abolitionists who refused to compromise! Perhaps we could learn something from those who went before us.
    We already have a law on the books to protect innocent lives at the federal level, so there was no need to send abortion back to the States. It was the same with slavery in the 1800s. It’s called the US Constitution. Slavery abolitionists had the Fifth Amendment on their side, which explicitly states that a person cannot “...be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law,” and implicitly guarantees each citizen equal protection under the laws. We are blessed with the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments, the latter of which makes two things more clear: equal protection of citizens under the law and the related restriction on what States can do to innocent persons: “...nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
    Did you catch that? States cannot, by law (the highest one in the land), allow or cause an innocent person to be killed. Sending abortion to the States was unlawful, yet Christians celebrate it.
    What’s the alternative, you ask? Well, a president in possession of knowledge of the Constitution, logic, Christian morals, and a good dose of courage would have ignored Roe and fulfilled his duty to execute the law he was sworn to uphold in order to protect unborn children in every state-just as Lincoln ignored the Dred Scott decision. Yes, another civil war may have ensued, and, of course, no one would wish for it, but wouldn't blood lost in battle for such a cause be righteous, as opposed to the blood of millions of innocents lost during decades of baby murder management? That’s what Incrementalism is-Smashmouth or otherwise-murder management. In the end, legislation pushed by pro-lifers allows some babies to be killed and others protected. Humans decide when God’s creation is allowed to burned, dismembered, and vacuumed up in what should be the safest place in the world, a mother’s womb. Pro-lifers who compromise with Molech, even in a well-intended attempt to save some babies, ultimately put their stamp of approval on the shedding of innocent blood-an abomination to God (Proverbs 6:17).
    The blood of babies continues to flow in 2024, and at higher rates since Roe was “overturned”, yet Trump is lauded a hero for (unlawfully) passing the buck to the States. Go figure. To make matters worse, Trump and his representatives, thinking they can never lose the Christian vote, no longer try to even keep up the appearance of being pro-life. This week, Trump repeatedly assured pro-choice women that their reproductive rights would be safe with his next administration. The first occurrence was in his Truth Social post: “My Administration will be great for women and their reproductive rights.” The second was his comment on abortion pills, the source of the largest number of abortions in the US. Pro-lifers hoped Trump would actually do his job, unlike Biden, and enforce the Comstock Act to crack down on abortion pills sent via mail, but Trump clearly stated on CBS that he had no intention of doing such a thing: “The federal government should have nothing to do with this issue.” His reason? Abortion now is in the hands of the States. How convenient! To top it off, VP candidate JD Vance says Donald Trump would not support a national abortion ban if elected president and would veto such legislation if passed by Congress. Vance was asked on NBC's "Meet the Press" whether he could commit to Trump not imposing such a ban. He stated: "I can absolutely commit that. Donald Trump's view is that we want the individual states and their individual cultures and their unique political sensibilities to make these decisions because we don't want to have a nonstop federal conflict over this issue.” Lawlessness is made out to be a virtue.
    What a boon for national politicians hungry for power that Roe was “overturned” and scattered to the States. Now they can concentrate on winning elections! Can you hear them laughing?
    Can Trump signal more clearly that he doesn’t care about babies in the womb, or about our pro-life sentiments, for that matter? Let’s be real. It’s not that he doesn’t get it, like Pastor Wilson said in this video and in other blog posts and podcasts. It’s not cluelessness; Trump simply doesn’t care. What does Trump actually care about? If we are honest with ourselves, we will admit he only cares about getting power. He cares about retaining power. He puts his finger in the air to discern the direction of political winds on this issue. That should have been clear in 2016 when Trump changed his stance on abortion five times in 3 days. It is abundantly evident he will do whatever is politically expedient, as unregenerate self-aggrandizing politicians tend to do-and gullible Christians, eight years later, continue to be his game, his one-night stand. It’s time for us to get a clue!
    God’s four simple objective standards for choosing civil servants in Exodus 18:21 would protect us from such evil, and the dark places it can take us. Some Christians are ignorant of the Exodus mandate, but others choose to ignore it. Others explain it away. I think, Pastor Wilson, though you are clearly well-intentioned, you are attempting to do the latter with your “hermit on the mountain” analogy. We may not be the hermit directly choosing our civil servant, but we are blessed by our Lord in a constitutional republic with a bit of power to choose our leaders. That individual power may be small, but it isn’t insignificant. If it was, would political candidates bother courting us? Obviously not.
    We have a duty to be good stewards of God’s gifts, submitting to our Lord even with our vote. God, in His goodness, gives us guidance in choosing civil leaders (Exodus 18:21) and the qualifications are so low, so basic. He doesn’t even require anything close to perfection for those who are to be His deacon to reward good and punish evil (Romans 13:3-4). According to those much ignored or explained away verses in Exodus 18, God only requires a man who:
    1. Fears Him
    2. Loves truth
    3. Is capable
    4. Hates covetousness
    So mercifully simple! Why would we choose anyone who doesn’t qualify for such elementary standards-standards which are designed to protect us?
    Even if we didn’t know about Exodus 18:21, how could we ignore the imperative in 1 Corinthians 10:31? “Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” How could we even think our God-given gift to choose the one who is to be our Lord’s deacon for justice glorifies Christ when we choose a unrepentant prideful, covetous, adulterous man who repeatedly abuses the truth for his own gain-a man who boldly claimed three times on video that he has nothing to be forgiven for? That same man is an idol to many who look to him to save their other idol, America, and he panders to them and their sin of idolatry, as demagogues always do. A vote for someone like that might get us raw power-as long as we are in his favor-but how could such a vote possibly glorify Christ, the source of any and all power we have? Is access to power worth offending our king?
    If we are not using Exodus 18:21 or 1Corinthians 10:31 as a guide for choosing civil leaders, what standards are we using? Human standards, that’s what. In this case, the "lesser evil" is the deciding principle of humans. The many clever words employed in this video and the original blog post by Pastor Wilson, unfortunately, boil down to that morally relativistic premise of choosing the lesser evil. As we know, humans are fallen and, therefore, fickle and constantly changing depending on circumstances. Though we now choose between Trump and Hillary or Trump and Biden or Trump and Harris, our descendants-if God allows America more time-may be choosing between a Stalin and a Mussolini or a Stalin and a Hitler, if they continue with our generation’s situational ethics.
    Is there biblical evidence for moral relativism as an acceptable strategy when we get stuck between a rock and a hard place, or a communist and an opportunist? Does anyone else have Paul's instructions for us not to do evil in an effort to do good ringing in their ears just now? (Romans 3:8)

      Christians ignored the Exodus 18:21 mandate in 2016 and 2020, employing drivel like, “We aren’t electing a pastor.” The result? The worst tyranny of most of our lifetimes: An executive order signed by President Donald Trump on March 27, 2020 was the perfect excuse for every governor to shutter people in their homes; shut down businesses and churches and schools; mask their people, require vaccinations of school children, soldiers, and government workers; and all the other COVID lawlessness we witnessed. For those of us in blue states, the tyranny lasted until late 2023. It was Trump that kept that fox, Fauci, on the government payroll. If that wasn’t bad enough, Trump voluntarily gave Fauci a national stage, week after week, to spew his dangerous nonsense, allowing the media to whip up a continual frenzy of fear. What happened to Trump’s penchant for firing people when they failed to meet his expectations? The pursuit of power got in the way for Donald Trump. Remember, it was an election year, and no self-serving politician would dare contradict a medical doctor or scientist at that level of power, the high priests of the dominant religion of Scientism. A true statesman with fortitude would have. Furthermore, Trump is the father of Operation Warp Speed, and he's still proud of it, even after it's become abundantly evident that rolling out untested vaccines on the public has been disastrous. The dehumanizing, destructive scam we call COVID didn't start with Trump, but it was not stopped by President Trump; rather, it was perpetuated by him and we are still reeling from it. Why would he allow all of it as president? Power, of course. Again, obeying God’s Exodus 18:21 mandate against covetous leaders who don’t fear God could have protected us from that darkness.
      Could it be that God is giving us another chance to trust and obey Him when things look bleak? Brothers and sisters, please consider what happened to the Israelites when they did what was right in their own eyes. Let us not be stiff-necked!
      I know what's on many a mind after reading what I’ve written above: the customary objection that we only have the Democrat and Republican nominees to vote for and if we don't vote for the Republicans, we'll lose, or worse, it's a vote for the Democrats. I know the objection well, because that Either-Or Fallacy is what I based my reasoning on for years.
      So how shall we then live if we can't vote for what the Democrat and Republican parties serve up for us? There is a model for us in an important, but little known, turn of events during the mid 1800s. It is a testament to how justice can be realized by steadfast, principled people who are willing to lose the battle in an effort to win a moral war:
      In 1856, the two main parties were the Democrats and the Whigs. The Whig Party was a divided party. Anti-slavery members, unwilling to compromise, splintered off and formed a third political party. They didn't have a chance of winning when they ran their first candidate, John Frémont, who was an abolitionist. Their platform was unequivocally abolitionist, not allowing for slavery in any state and recognizing the constitutional and moral duty of the federal government to protect individual liberties. The writers of the platform appealed not to popular notions, but rather to the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, stating, “Resolved: That, with our Republican fathers, we hold it to be a self-evident truth, that all men are endowed with the inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and that the primary object and ulterior design of our Federal Government were to secure these rights to all persons under its exclusive jurisdiction; that, as our Republican fathers, when they had abolished Slavery in all our National Territory, ordained that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law, it becomes our duty to maintain this provision of the Constitution against all attempts to violate it for the purpose of establishing Slavery in the Territories of the United States by positive legislation, prohibiting its existence or extension therein. That we deny the authority of Congress, of a Territorial Legislation, of any individual, or association of individuals, to give legal existence to Slavery in any Territory of the United States, while the present Constitution shall be maintained.”
      That underdog party was called the "Republican Party" and they lost their first election. Four years later, the Republicans won the presidency with less than 40% of the popular vote in a sharply divided and morally starved nation. That candidate was Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln’s record on slavery is a mixed one, but there’s no denying the principled action of steadfast abolitionists set in motion things that lead to chattel slavery being extinguished in America (and elsewhere). And does anyone remember the Whigs? Anyone?

      Christians ignored the Exodus 18:21 mandate in 2016 and 2020, employing drivel like, “We aren’t electing a pastor.” The result? The worst tyranny of most of our lifetimes: An executive order signed by President Donald Trump on March 27, 2020 was the perfect excuse for every governor to shutter people in their homes; shut down businesses and churches and schools; mask their people, require vaccinations of school children, soldiers, and government workers; and all the other COVID lawlessness we witnessed. Furthermore, Trump is the father of Operation Warp Speed, and he's still proud of it, even after it's become abundantly evident that rolling out untested vaccines on the public has been disastrous. The dehumanizing, destructive scam we call COVID didn't start with Trump, but it was not stopped by President Trump; rather, it was perpetuated by him and we are still reeling from it. Why would he allow all of it as president? Power, of course. Again, obeying God’s Exodus 18:21 mandate against covetous leaders who don’t fear God could have protected us from that darkness.
      Could it be that God is giving us another chance to trust and obey Him when things look bleak? Brothers and sisters, please consider what happened to the Israelites when they did what was right in their own eyes. Let us not be stiff-necked!

    Your vote matters,,,it matters to God, it should matter to you too.
    The voting booth is private, but never forget that you are surrounded by a great many witnesses.
    so treat your vote as if you are voting for God.
    ask yourself - "Who would God vote for?"
    That is the only question that matters.....Who would God vote for?
    and dont fall into the trap of thinking that the "ends justify the means"
    That was the temptation that Eve fell for.
    Remember what Satan tried to tempt Jesus with the same argument..., “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
    as you enter the booth to vote, you will also hear that same whisper that Jesus heard...."All these things (all the good stuff you want to have happen) I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me"
    This temptation is "Let us do this one little evil thing, that the good things will come"
    So you do the little evil thing, and use your vote for a person you know lacks the requirements for leadership given by God.
    But the expected good just never comes like you expected.
    The world is not as changed for the good as you wanted.
    But you have changed.
    You now find it a lot more easy to justify doing evil.

    If Republicans vote for Trump in this election, you can kiss away any hopes of abortion being abolished in the future.
    Every politician will know from then on out that they don't have to be against abortion. They'll know that we bend. That we break. Like always. No party will take abortion seriously again.

    I disagree. I think every pro-life/abolitionist/smashmouth incrementalist who lives in non-swing states should not vote for Trump.
    This is not perfectionism. It is saying that there should be SOME standard we vote for.
    All Christians in swing states should vote for Trump. If the other person gets in, she will at least codify Roe. So Trump needs in so he can veto any attempt to codify Roe.
    But his support MUST shrink or there are NO consequences for shrinking away from the abortion issue.

Please, we can win the abortion issue state by state once we have a Christian VP and have many Christians working in the senate and congress.       @@shellydavis6784 I’m not convinced on J.D. Vance’s Christian convictions as he married a Hindu. Being unequally yoked is not a good thing.
      I really am a single issue voter right now. If they aren’t going to try and end the genocide of babies in the womb, then I’m not voting for them. And if they come out as ok with abortion, evangelicals NEED to make it clear that this is an unacceptable position.
      The GOP takes the evangelical vote for granted. So the GOP can move further and further left without losing the evangelical vote. So we are all walked over. There needs to be some sort of signal that we cannot be walked over anymore. That we won’t just go along to get along
      Also, you say Trump cannot make the policy. This is correct. But Vance also said that he thinks Trump would veto an abortion ban that passed congress. While he still has a more acceptable position then Harris (he wouldn’t codify Roe, he would leave it up to the states), it isn’t an ok position at all

      @@shellydavis6784 I live in Colorado. Trump isn’t winning it, no matter who I vote for. So rather than voting throwing away my vote in a state that has already decided its outcome, I am voting solidarity party. I’m hoping my vote actually makes an impact.
      If I vote Trump, it wont affect his outcome at all (he will still lose Colorado). But it might cause the GOP to not take the evangelical vote for granted.
      The only way my vote will be heard is a vote of dissension.
      I would not do the same if I were in a swing state.
