Recently I wanted to make a different video in regards to something else and just yesterday our salt grinder broke. I thought that It might make a perfect video, especially for those in need of help for fixing theirs. In this video, I gave some tips and tricks to do when fixing anything. The main purpose was to demonstrate how to fix a power salt grinder. This salt grinder used a DC motor along with transfer gears to make more torque. I wanted to fix it for my parents but also make a video out of it. Thank you for watching and be sure to stay in tuned for more.

I need some help man, I have one that the gear box is fine, but the motor is kind off week, what should I do? I may add that it have beeing laying around without use for quite some time. When I try to use it, sometimes I have to manually star the rotation with pliers and then the motor keep it moving

Hello! In my opinion first try changing the batteries because its been sitting for a while, it might’ve went flat. If their is acid on the battery contacts, you should clean it with a small wire brush. If that doesn’t work than the motor is going out which you mentioned is weak. Unless you can find a replacement motor for really cheap it’s not worth repairing. This is not uncommon because personally I’ve had bad luck with these. Nothing beats the manual salt grinders. Thank you for tuning in, be sure to like and subscribe.

I got a Wolf Gang Puck pepper grinder as a gift for Christmas and the thing turns on but doesn't turn off. I have to remove the batteries to stop from grinding pepper.
    Should I
    A. spend a few hours watching videos on pepper grinder repairs then bust out a lighter to dislodge the components and attempt to fix it?
    B. toss it in the trash and use the manual pepper grinder?
    C. order a new one?

Hello, after reading your comment I’m going to assume that it’s a broken switch. In that case it’s not worth repairing as these salt grinders regardless of brand always have issues. Ours still works to this day after repairs but I honestly would stick with a manual salt grinder instead. Ordering a new one isn’t a bad idea but it will most probably break again. Kitchen appliances, such as electric salt grinders in my opinion are not worth it. This video is just showing how to repair it if it breaks but often times if the repair is too big, it’s not worth it.
