Replace side view mirror on Tesla model s 2017
I have rotated the top part of the mirror out of there bottom plate, and could seem to put it back to the original aliment. Is it possible to put it back to the right place without dissemble the whole mirror?
Im not sure I understand clear what you did, please direct message me to get more details. Thank you for watch the video
Some of the wires were cut on my model Y after mirror got hit. Can I solder them, what size and type of wire should I use(if i need to extend) and do I need to disconnect 12V battery first? Thanks.
Thanks for reach to as with your inquiry, unfortunately I don't have the right answer as Im not electric automotive technician, and you may need to weld it with out extend it or consult an electric technician
thanks, this is so useful! I got to the point of removing the 3 screws that hold the bottom chrome cap. I could remove 2 of them but the third one seems to be a weird size, slightly too loose for a 5/64 allen wrench and not big enough for a 3/32. Is it a special size?
Thanks for watch the video. The screws that holds the bottom chromed piece attached to the top piece are 2 Torque 10 (T10) and one phillip head screwdriver
@@5amVinyl that worked perfectly, thank you!!
@@vivektelang you are welcome
So, i can just pull the mirrior out, unscrew 3 screws behind and change the buttom chrome?
No exactly pull the mirror out, you need to watch the video of how to remove it from the car, and here I type the link: czcams.com/video/QApk3clTzX4/video.html
It's better to pull the wires by the harness and not by the wires.
Totally agree avoiding risk is always better, and thanks for your comment. Please subscribe and like to help my channel. Thanks
