Хвост у кота шикарнейший - как у лисы.
Похоже, что яйца взяли в инкубаторе для вывода утят. А у утят есть такой врожденный инстинкт - импритинг - первым, кого они увидят после рождения, тот и мама. А первым их ждал этот красивый котик и теперь они воспринимают его как маму и повсюду следуют за ним.
Кот, конечно, обалдел, но с достоинством принял на себя эту роль.
Когда утята вырастут, ни одна собака не посмеет котика обидеть - утки ее просто заклюют. И еще наверняка будут рыбку приносить своему "родителю".

У утят есть мама. Просто сегодня они не взяли её на прогулку.
Этот котяра воспитывает и нянчится с утятами и цыплятами (родители у них есть). В последнем видео он уже начал к телятам присматриваться 😊

The imprinting effect. After hatching, the goslings were given a cat instead of a duck. The duckling takes the first moving object for his mother and this is for life. Chickens have the same thing. I saw a video where a chicken was given a moving inanimate object. He ran after him like a mommy.

Amazing friendship between different species. An example for humans to follow. We can't even agree on religions. Each one has a "Holier than thou" attitude". I wish our government were as caring and responsible as this wonderful cat.

I bet the cat was around when they hatches because they act like they are her Mom. It is great to see the cat be so gentle and not see them as prey as her normal instincts would normally indicate or encourage her to do. They are all very cute.

Do you know for sure oe is that an assumption? The owner introduced Furball as the "cutest cat in the world" but did not reveal their relationship.
They are not related, Hairball is adopted, Kikig has never been pregnant. Also Kikig is shorthair, Hairball is long hair, they are different breeds

For a short while, FB was very fluffy, then he went thru a short shedding period in which he & K looked alike. Now he is regaining his long fur.
However, it is possible for breeds to have both short & long hair, like the long hair Siamese which I believe is called a Balinese.
