- By using the invert selection shortcut you can completely select your line art without any annoying gaps near the lines. This way you can create a silhouette of your line art without having to worry about going outside of the lines when painting.

How to make selection into a clipping mask? Also how do I Save & Load Selections.( Coming from photoshop, unable to figure out selection tools here in krita!)
How do I do a mask layer? Sorry, this video was way too fast to pick up what exact tools I should be clicking on to use.

Hello. So what happened is the lines itself gets colored, not the areas inside the lines. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.
Are you putting it on a layer underneath the lineart?
how do you get rid of it when your done
Click the free hand selection tool then back in the canvas to remove the selection. :)
@@ticklishwasabi sweet thanks a lot
I know I'm pretty late, but when I invert the selection it doubles it instead. When I try to color inside of my drawing it colors only the lineart
What do you mean by it doubles the selection? Also check to see if you have the preserve alpha button on, if it's on, turn it off.
@@ticklishwasabi In your video, it deletes the selection you already had and inverted it so it's selecting the inside. When I invert the selection, instead of removing the outside selection it stays there AND makes the new inverted one, which means I'm only drawing directly onto the lineart. Alpha is turned off. I'm currently using an older version, 5.0.2. Sorry if this is confusing ._.
@@Rock-lu2rt Mine is doing this also, not sure why.
Nvm, its happening beacuse there is a gap in your lineart somewhere. Once you fill them in, the problem should be solved.
?What bout creating your own selections in different shapes? Like, I want to fill certain spots(spots, make multiple selections).
You can hold down "alt" and "Ctrl" on the keyboard while you make selections which will either add or subtract from the selection you make. Which allows you to make multiple isolated selections as well as remove them if you mess up.
@@ticklishwasabi Thanks
i'm painting ABOVE my lineart, please help D:
When I do that Krita just doesn't validate my lineart and completely ignores it
Nevermind I fixed it, just fixed the shrink/grow selection
So what your telling me is. Ive been filling everything in wrong.
Efficient tutorial
