My DM ended a session mid combat. (it was getting on)
accept this fight...
everyones got nothing left. The 2 spell casters have no spellslots left, the barb is almost dead, the bad guy is chasing the wizard around trying to break her consentration because she banished another enemy (The actual brains of this fight)
We've just managed to rescue a small blue female Tabaxi from some sort of ritual.
My charecter, was a foster child, always wanted to know who her birth mother was...my charecter is ALSO a blue tabaxi.
Oh and theres a red moon instead of normal daylight in the city above and it's over run with spirits that feed on negative emotions...which thee is plenty of right now.

@@aidenk.364 My guess: He's been secretly doing one of what you suggested (found a way to create/synthesize crystals or harvesting people for their own crystals) and is attempting to create a "Xanu 2.0" in some manner and that's what this project that he's been calling the "Harvesting of the Sun" actually is.

I can imagine the DM's excitment when you cast Locate Object. That is the best way to reveal a twist like that, and he didn't even need to do anything! Its always better for players to find things out unprompted like this, rather than hinted to or explained later, it is super fun for the player when they find secrets they know wasn't going to be shown until later.

As a DM, I wish more players had the ability to think outside the box. Most players are unimaginative and don't use the full extent of the tools they have at their disposition. When I started as a player, my DMs were impressed at my ability to completely change the outcome of a campaign by remembering and using tiny details they introduced in the game that were meant to be inconsequential fluff. "He's not a player, he's a DM!" Perhaps I should look into DM'ing for a group of experienced DMs wanting to be players again.
I feel like we dont give Dingo enough props for the voice acting in this series too. Incredible art, and vouce acting, all indie just for a youtube series about a dnd game? Incredible stuff

yep, this kinda stuff needs a full-fledged animated show with a few extra animations, but instead of starting from the terrasque incident, it could just recap the whole campaign from the start, and do a bunch of one piece style recap sections and cool endings and openings, we need someone to get dingo set up with some anime studio for it, cuz oh boy would that be awesome to see, and she would get a bit of money out of it too, or heck, a manga version of the series would be cool as well

12 hours!! Wow. Really puts into perspective on how hard everything is hitting the characters. It’s basically:
Viewers: **sees everything go down in a span of months**
Players: **sees everything go down in a span of weeks**
Characters: **dealing with this mess in mere hours**
In the Dungeon of the Mad Mage campaign I'm in, my character's boyfriend got killed by a Disintegrate trap. Since then, the party has brought a new member into the party (played by the player of the recently-deceased boyfriend), fully explored four more dungeon levels, gone to space, killed an Adult Red Dragon and four of her Young Red Dragon children, traveled to one of the characters' homes in Phandalin and back, had our armor repaired, our wizard and fighter have read half the required hours of reading for their +2 stat increase tomes (Clear Thought and Gainful Exercise), and watched our newest party member make a deal with the Raven Queen to restore the boyfriend to life at the cost of both of them serving the Raven Queen.
Out of game, this has been about six months of weekly campaign sessions.
In-game? *Six days.*
It actually makes sense. I've played in live action RPGs with each campaign lasting 48 hours in both real and in-game time. You'd be amazed how much stuff you can cram during that time. If you only sleep six hours per night, you can binge watch two full seasons (22 episodes each) of a TV series and still have the time to prepare meals and use the toilet. Most days are uneventful, so they appear shorter in our memories. Our brains are basically organic computers. We only store important data in our memory, everything else is deleted or heavily compressed. Our perception of time is affected by how much data is stored in memory. Since noteworthy events take more storage space, eventful days appear longer.
Step 1: kill some goblins
Step 2: do more quests to get money and exp
Step 3: kill god
I'm surprised that Xanu didn't freak the fuck out that they're going to extract the next sun but maybe he's really focused picking up that plant
I like to think hes honestly not surprised that they would try it again
But it's likely he'll be more surprised by WHY they are Extracting it
Ethier way, Xanu is not having any of their shit
I love how there's absolutely zero audio in the cut between everyone staring at Sips and him inside the cage. That adds like so much to the transition

Let’s not forget Xanu, Jack, and all the other NPCs are Dingo’s BF who is the DM making all the character interactions and jokes too. If it accurate then it’s just the DM fooling around with his world which is hilarious

I'm both a DM and a writer, so I'm used to creating entire worlds and having huge casts of characters interacting within them. I do it while daydreaming as well. I developed a rich inner world to compensate a boring social life.

@@michaelbryant3640 I think so. The only reason Gothi lived as long as she did was because of Xanu. Maybe Godrick figured immortality out through another means, but maybe not. There is a non zero chance it's all the same guy.

two: so Jack and Masika are NPCs right, so the whole romance plot between them is just Felix flirting with himself? sorry during the adorable scene about stones it occurred to me that Felix was just talking to himself the whole time (unless I'm mistaken about them both being NPCs)
At this point Jack is rapidly transitioning into a DMPC.
It could be that he summed it up as "Jack's just off to the side geeking out about rocks, while Mesika adds the occasional comment such as "Rocks... They are good to kill things with..."" and Dingo is fleshing stuff out further aside from the little quips.

I love the Zanu jokes, it's so brilliant that this powerful god was built up as a big threat for half the campaign.

This episode couldn't have come at a better time. After about episode 20, I completely forgot about the series for awhile, and just rediscovered it today. I had a huge marathon of episodes to catch up on, and this episode came out right after I got caught up. I can't wait to see where this goes!
I can’t tell you how much I love this campaign. I started dm’ing my first long homebrew in 2022, still going to this day. So to start off the campaign, the party was transporting a princess to marry a prince of an elf kingdom and stop a war. Suddenly a dragon proclaiming himself to be Nico bolas appeared. The dragon fried many guards and the princess in one magical attack until a mysteriously powerful wizard, in strange fuzzy robes, came in and snapped the dragon away proclaiming “sorry I was playing a card game with a god and…things got…ughhh… *sigh* outa hand”
I love Felix’s world so much and these videos still give me inspiration to continue building my crazy world that has crazy stories that my friends and I come up with.

But I’m excited to see what happens next!
