Quite right Lucy, know your limits! 😂😂😂 For the record, this was part of Harry Enfield's sketch show, This was intentionally filmed b&w, obviously the rest was colour, and it was broadcast in the early 90s. Me and most of my school watched it, and 'women, know your limits' became a British catchphrase for a few years.😋

OMG, that reaction was absolutely priceless! Lucy shaking her head, whilst Brad was roaring with laughter, I love you two! 😂🤣 The key to this awesome sketch really, is that the archaic misogyny itself is the butt of the joke. Anyone who thinks the sketch itself is misogynistic is completely missing the point. Harry Enfield's shows are amazing, and so hilarious, just British comedy at it's best. You two have such a great sense of homour. I seen others kind of miss the satire of vid and try to explain why it's offensive 🙈. In this case we just know Brad is going to say to Lucy "women know your limits" first chance he gets 🤣
I make enough money that my wife doesn’t have to go out to work if she doesn’t want to. And she doesn’t. She’s very happy to stay home and keep the house nice and cook great food.
I'm very interested to hear Brad's opinion on this topic. Didn't understand any of Lucy's deranged ramblings at the end, though. Maybe you should consider having her sit quietly with a kitten during your reactions, Brad. 😁 That was seriously funny guys, thank you!
Very much a favourite show of mine growing up. Definitely provided a lot of fodder for playground sayings. My favourite clip from the show was a 'Lee and Lance' sketch where Lance is trying to sing. Can be found on youtube as the 'Whos that Girl sketch'

Harry Enfield and the fast show are great, you should watch some Unlucky Alf. Edit they're only short but the FA cup final is a good one to start. Theres also a 18 min video showing them all one after another.
You would love Enfield's "Cornish ladies man" sketches. They feature a Cornish guy sat the the pub, telling stories about how he pulled then had sex with various celebrities. Obviously bullshit, the stories are both vulgar and laced with funny (but fake) sexual slang/gibberish. In a couple of them, Enfield struggles to keep a straight face and contain his laughter!
I showed this Harry Enfield sketch to my best friend who's into the woke feminist thing & even she found it funny. She completely understood that the whole joke of the sketch was that the lady was saying the correct thing the whole time, but us men are arseholes 😂 The irony of the joke is that it's a joke on men as well. I was worried she would of looked the other way about it & I'd have to explain the logistics of the joke to her.
The 1950's was the same around the industrialized world sadly. Forgetting that women took off their aprons to take on roles traditionally done by men during WW2 then had to remove their coveralls for their aprons.
I think these attitudes should be brought back. I mean, if we don't, we may end up with women driving cars for heaven's sake! Don't get me wrong - women are highly valued - in the kitchen and the wash house. Again, you will spot the humour here, and not dismiss it as misogyny. I always carry on with these jokes, despite the bruises on my face from the missus.
These days it's the woke and snowflakes aliens that tell us humans to know your limits, I say aliens as I agree with someone that you can't call who are woke and snowflakes human
No. I know for a fact that this was a documentary. I remember vividly because I worked the crank-handle for the director. It wasn't pleasant, but I'm eternally grateful that he didn't introduce any trolls. And I was only 15 then, so you're quite right. It was 350 years ago in the 1930s.
